Thought there should be a thread on this since its the big day. As usual there is a livestream "Fax Cam" with the link http://www.gobearcats.com/allaccess/?media=364710 for those interested.

Also have the interview schedule:

8:30 am - Tommy Tuberville
9:30 am - Eddie Gran
10:30 am - Art Kaufman
11:30 am - Tommy Tuberville

Person to watch out for first is Travis Johnson who is the #9 TE in the country. He should be announcing at 7:30.

We got a huge pick up in Travis Johnson at the TE position. He could have went about anywhere and I believe he was the 9th best TE this year. I bet UC's history of TE's going pro the last 8 years and have def. helped us get him.

Overall hes the highest rated recruit in UC history. Not bad for TT and staff with only a little over a month of recruiting.

So far: (ESPN Rankings)
Travis Johnson (4*)
Tyler Cogswell (3*)
Mark Barr(3*)
Mark Wilson(2*)
Ben Flick(3*)
Aaron Brown(NR)
Javon Harrison(3*) - Early Enrolee

I think espn has him as the 6th best TE

Tshumbi Johnson (3*)
Brent Stockstill (3*)

Both have sent their LOIs. UC missed out on Rodney Adams. 4* WR had a final 2 of UC and Toledo and Adams chose the Rockets.

You would have to think grade issues are involved. He was once committed to Florida but most of there message boards indicated that he would be at best a partial qualifier. nonetheless, Toledo has brought in some top notch talent the past couple years.

Its funny to watch the live fax cam on gobearcats and watch the live chat on cincinnati.com because tommy t is sitting with a guy typing his answers for him lol

By the end of the day we could sign 4 TEs. A third just committed. TE Chris Burton (3*).

Other commits include:
Terrell Hartsfield (2*)
Mike Tyson (2*)
Howard Wilder (3*)

Both Terrell Hartsfield and Mike Tyson have been both ranked 4* depending what recruiting source you look at.

TE's are great because there so athletic you can turn them into great DE's. Plus good way to build your special teams

Love that we got a guy named Mike Tyson
i laughed when i saw the headline on twitter: "DB Mike Tyson (6-2, 190) from Hargrave Military Academy has inked his NLI with the #Bearcats. - @GoBearcats"...
i just pictured Tyson's facial tattoo...

When I first saw it I thought it was a mistake but he's supposed to be pretty good. I think he has 4 years of eligibility too even though he went to Hargrave. Might be wrong about that.

Do we have any late surprises? Seems pretty quiet but all in all, pretty good considering what we had to work with.

Just curious cause I haven't followed UC football recruiting much in the past. Kind of just show up when they tell me the season starts. Is this better/worse/same as recent recruiting classes?

Last signed LOIs of the day are:
Korey Cunningham (NR)
Hosey Williams (NR)
Chris Burton (3*)
Rodriguez Moore (3*) signed his LOI but hasnt been confirmed by the compliance office yet.

Only "surprise" came from Theodore Chambers, a JUCO CB from California. He wasnt ranked coming out of HS and ESPN doesnt have him in their recruiting database.

Overall we landed:

1 QB
2 RB
4 TE
2 OL
3 DL
5 DB
2 ATH (1 will play defensive secondary and the other TBD but probably backfield)

Pretty good class IMO considering the month Tommy T and staff had. Cant wait to see what they do with a full year ahead of them.

Considering that the current staff really only had a month to recruit I would consider this a great class. Some of these kids had other BCS offers from schools in the "Big 5" conferences. A lot are JUCO which makes them able to step in and compete for time.

Saw a tweet today that said 11/14 recruits that decommitted after Lyle left are now signed with non-BCS schools.
