NCAA Investigating Bledsoe

For those who want the short version:

- Bledsoe transferred his senior year of high school because his original school closed.
- His family moved out of district into an apartment complex.
- His new high school coach paid for the apartments rent at least 3 times according to the landlord.

If he paid for the rent because of Erics athletic abilities than he would not be allowed to play at all for UK and since he did they would be forced to forfeit all the games he played (all but 1).

There is more.

Bledsoe carried a 1.9 GPA through his 1st three years of highschool. In order to be meet NCAA standards he would have to have ended with a 2.5 GPA. That would require a 1.9 student to become damn near if not straight A student for an entire year.

1 coach claimed that his high school coach told him it would take a certain amount of money to get him cleared.

This is not even getting into the Cousins or wall issues. (Something funny about UNC not officially offering wall when he was from the heart of UNC country).

It's something like this- all be it completely expected, that makes me more and more surprised and frankly a little disappointed that Marquis and his father chose Kentucky and John Calipari. Money will always take precedent over character. Sad.

Sooner or later the NCAA has to act on Coach Cal. Too many problems swirling around his players.

The problem swirling around his players is Wesley Williams. The sooner the NCAA manages to separate Wes and Cal the easier it will be to sort out the messes they keep leaving behind them.

also: in Alabama(i remember him being from Birmingham, if he's not, ignore this), high school transcripts work like college ones. if you get an F, then proceed to retake the class and get an A, the A is the only grade the transcript factors in. this wouldn't be a big deal, except for the fact that Calipari's every move is under scrutiny.

Calipari is the dirtiest player in the game. He's so greasy he slides when he walks. Whenever I hear the guys name, I always think of the time Jon Cheney ran into the press conference, tossing chairs and yelling he was going to kill Cal. This incident was ignited by negative recruitment if I recall.

Calipari's track record speaks for itself. He is well insolated but if there is a a dirtier recruiter out there I don't know who it is. People and coaches across Alabama are coming forth with info against Parker High. The universities that sign these kids are aware of the grade issues. These are not dumb people. They may not be directly involved in the fix, but they are guilty by association.
