Have not lost at home this year.

None of these are bad losses but we need a signature road win. Where is it?

I dont have a clue where our signature win is gonna come from but these next 8 are a huge stretch of games for us, chance to be 7-1 im praying for 6-2.

For now I think we will go:

@St. John's L
vs. Rutgers W
vs. WVU W
@ Pitt L
@ Depaul W
vs. St. John W
vs. Louisville W
@ Providence W

@ St Johns is a big one.

This is a team we could be competing with for a tournament spot.

Going undefeated at home (which is a MUST) gives you UConn, Louisville, Gtown and WVU. You have to have 3 wins on the road. Depaul and Providence are musts. And 1 win out of SJU, Pitt, or Gtow. Obviously Saturdays game is HUGE. If you look at the schedule, they have a good chance to win 7 of the next 8 games (Pitt is a very big longshot). The question of course is: will they?

This is what I see after the first 6 games and from what I have seen of the others teams.

Jan 22 @St. John´s (N.Y.) 4:00 PM - L
Jan 26 Rutgers 9:00 PM -W
Jan 29 West Virginia 8:00 PM -L
Feb 5 @Pittsburgh 6:00 PM -L
Feb 8 @DePaul 7:00 PM -W
Feb 13 St. John´s (N.Y.) 12:00 PM -W
Feb 16 Louisville 7:00 PM -L
Feb 19 @Providence 7:00 PM -W
Feb 23 @Georgetown 9:00 PM -L
Feb 27 Connecticut 12:00 PM -L
Mar 2 @Marquette 8:00 PM -L
Mar 5 Georgetown 2:00 PM - L

After watching this team after 6 games in the BEast, against both the top, middle, and bottom, we might start thinking just about getting wins then wins on the road.

Hope I'm wrong. I just don't see more then 4 wins the rest of the year. Cats have looked lost on the floor the last few weeks. Unless Cronin changes the way he runs this team, I see it staying this way.

The only positive I see is the Cats are yet to play a good team at home, I think UL, G'town and UCONN pose great opportunities to get quality home wins. The problem is where will the marquee road win comes from? The best chance has to be this Saturday.

If they can win their home games, do they really need a marquee road win. I'm not sure they do, as long as they also beat Depaul and Providence on the road. I'm not sure beating SJU would be considered a marquee win. Just a month ago we were thinking this would be an easy game. How quickly things change.

We will be lucky to go 4-4 the next 8 games. Obviously we all know now we are NOT a Top 25 team.

UC has a good team, but unless the team can beat a solid team on the road (and almost win out from home)...NIT bound.

I think the schedule set up perfectly for the haters to come out and play, personally... The Pavilion, the Carrier Dome and South Bend are three of the four most difficult places to play in the Big East (The Peterson Center @ Pitt being the other- and guess what, UC has to go there)... As has already been mentioned, 'Nova, Syracuse and Notre Dame haven't lost at home all year... The critical game is coming up against St. Johns. I believe this game is as close to a "must win" as there gets this early in the season. If UC can find a way to win (once again we get screwed like vs. 'Nova and instead of the Garden we get the tiny ass, hostile on campus arena) it sets up favorably from there. They'll dispatch of Rutgers at home and then a big showdown with WVU after that... we've all seen how important home court is, like every year in the BEAST... until the 'Cats drop a game at home, I am not concerned.

I'm glad someone's paying attention these days.
