1-5 on the road isn't going to cut it. We need to win this game. We can win this game.

I will predict UC 67 and ND 61

UC 64
ND 62

Lance steps up and gets back on track, as hopefully he's feeling better. I think Cash continues to play well, although he'll have to perform against Jackson. I think UC will face some serious zone as they want to contain Gates, and force us to shoot from outside. Vaughn, Bishop, and Cash need to step up from long range.

UC 75
ND 68

This is the game we put it all together. Cash continues to play well at the 1, Deonta busts the zone, and Lance slashes his way to a 20+ point game. Also, Yancy gets a double-double.

Optimistic? Of course...that's who I am. But we've seen all these things in different games this year. It's time to do it all in one game.

Lets be honest-this very well could be the difference between 5-4 and 4-5--unless we happen to steal a game against Nova or Syracuse(5-4 would have us sitting very good IMO)

UC will have to shoot well to beat the Irish at ND. I am going to go:
UC 70
ND 67

Lance could get 20. ND is good, but not so fast, aside from Jackson. UC needs to guard against their outside shot, and keep Gody in check. BTW.......who do you put on Gody? I would prefer Thomas, as Gates is kind of slow for him. I think he'll go outside with Gates on him, and inside with Thomas guarding him. We'll see.

UC's going to have to play very well to win AT notre dame. I'm going with:
The Fighting Irish: 81
Cincinnati: 69

I agree they will need to play well. UC has not proven to be able to beat good or even average teams on the road.

I hope Lance breaks out and wills them to victory. ND isnt playing well.

I'm just trying to be realistic here. I think Notre Dames offense could be very good. I realize that their defense isn't spectacular, so UC's score could be higher. They are just a tough team to beat at ND, and they will want revenge. I think Luke will have a big night, becuase he will be pissed off that UC pretty much shut him down last game.

...who do you put on Gody?

I agree that Thomas has the length and speed, but I'll admit I haven't been paying attention to his defensive intensity and skill this season. For lack of a better option I'd say Thomas outside and Gates inside. Keeping Gates down low ought to allow him to crash the boards (offensively and defensively) like we know he can.

Yeah this is not a MUST win game. It's important, but there are plenty of other opportunities down the stretch. I do not look at this game as saying if UC loses they have no chance left to make the tourny unless they win conference tournament. Thats what I consider a must win game.

Not a must win.

Although big we have many other big games that it does not make this a must win.

This is close to a Must win. Lets look at the rest of the schedule:
ND- W
Syracuse-L
UCONN-W
USF-W
MArquette-W
Depaul-W
WV-L
Nova-L
GT.-L
5-4 setting ourselves up pretty good for an at large. We lose the game to ND we are going to have to upset on of the big dogs. Keep in mind UCONN wont be an easy W but we could very well get in not having to beat Syracuse,WV,Nova, or GT. That would be nice not having the pressure on those last three games.

UC will lose one they shouldn't but they will win one they shouldn't.

Nova or Cuse will lose to us. We play well at the shoe.

Yeah- I just hate to have to win one of the big ones to stay alive...or do you think we do regardless? I think with the pac 10 looking to get 1 (maaybbe 2) bids UC shouldnt have to beat one of the big dogs to get in.

I think Syracuse is winnable this Sunday

The cats will HAVE to be making the 3's to have a shot IMO. Syracuse D is very good. However, we usually have one big win at home-lets hope this is it! First- ND tommorow. The road to the NCAA starts now.

I agree with this sentiment. ND is not a must win, but it is a "we need the damn win!"

15-7 is so much better than 14-8...........one game better. However, it gives us the big "mo" heading into Syracuse at home this weekend.

If ND zones us, Cash, DV and Born Ready better penetrate the gaps and make plays.
