Vegas had Okla at +170, I thought that was nuts, so I threw $20 on Okla to win $34. Worked out well!

Yeah, I was shocked that a ranked team was a home underdog. Oklahoma is a good team. They have a lot of perimeter guys that can break you down off the bounce and Spangler is a double-double machine.

Not a good 10-day stretch for Marcus Smart. His team lost twice and he's 10-39 (3-21 3pt) from the field in the last three games. The temper tantrum against WVU wasn't a good look either.

This comment probably belings here sorry:

Just a observation but lots of conversation about UC not producing NBA players. I think this squad has two who will play in the league someday. Caupain and Lawrence. Both need work physically but both have size and skills.

Caupain will probably be 6'5" PG with length, who handles well, shoots well and finds the open man. He'll be 20 at the start of his Jr. Year. Don't think he'll be here 4 years. He will be crazy good next year.

Lawrence has plenty of skills. He has length and size. He handles the ball very well for a big man and will make a huge jump in production next year. Probably gone as well after jr. Year.

Both these kids will play in the league

Caupain will be 19 at the start of his junior year. But I wouldn't count on him growing 2-3 inches. I know I was 6'2" when I was 17-18. I'm now 28, and I'm... 6'2". Some guys have growth spurts after 18, but I wouldn't say it's a very common thing.

I'm quoting MC. He stated the kid could still grow a couple of inches. He has good length as we'll.I think he'll be our best player next year. If we play a uptempo open floor game I look for ST to make a big leap in performance. The rare times we push the ball now he ends up with the ball in his hands. Really think his performance has been stunted because of the system we must run. Next years team will be the most athletic team MC has put on the floor.

X-rays will tell you if you have more room to grow. For whatever reason, on a podcast with Andy Katz and Seth Greenburg the other week, Mick said he would probably get to 6'5. I'm assuming that was more than a guess.

And speaking of that, Mick will be interviewed on Katz' Korner today on ESPNU. I think the show starts at 1:00.

Mick is the man! An ESPN rising star!

Mick said the same thing about Larry Davis. He may grow ever so slightly but kids rarely grow much at all once they get to that age. He could, but I would give it very little change.

Now, whether he grows or not I'm definitely looking forward to his future years here (including future games this year).

You could be right about him growing. It is a wait and see senario. Either way he'll be bigger and stronger just from being in strength program. Really liked what I've seen of him in the Temple game. He was very aggressive offensively and specifically liked the pull up jumper he hit. Kid is starting to display a lot of confidence in his game. He has the whole package.

I don't remember him saying it about Larry Davis. I do remember him saying it about Octavius Ellis when he showed up at 6'9 and I'm pretty he is 6'11 now.

It's not that uncommon for kids that grow late to keep growing. I grew an inch in college.

I grew roughly 2 inches after high school. Didn't Titus shoot up like 5 inches at his juco? I honestly don't really think it matters if he grows or not. For a pg he is tall enough. Too much length and he might lose quickness.

SMU down 7 with 2 minutes to go. They are getting Bulled right now. As UC fans, we all know how that feels. Losing against a bad USF team will badly hurt the tournament resume. All about avoiding bad losses.

Considering we play each twice, it won't really affect our computer numbers. Getting five American teams in the tournament would be great though, and this loss will knock SMU out (for now).

They'll have plenty of games to make up for it (UC, UL, Mem), but if they drop all of em, they're screwed. Mediocre record in a mediocre conference

UK down 12 with 4 minutes to go @ LSU. Do they just drop one spot in the polls again if they lose? I know some here will defend that.

Outside of the National Title year, Kentucky has been awful on the road in the SEC. I guess that is what happens when you have a bunch of freshman...

And if it wasn't for the Senior leadership of a guy that Calipari didn't even recruit (Darius Miller) they'd still looking for a title and Cal's seat would be very hot right now.

Can we just give McDermott the Wooden Award already? I think Creighton could be upset early in the tournament though if they run into a long, athletic team.
