You know, with everything going on at tOSU with the football program, it sure makes me wonder how clean the basketball program is too.

Ohio State Athletics has always been on the corrupt side of the fence in regards to morality. Tressel is nothing new here and one should not be surprised by the recruiting success Matta has had off the court. As I stated earlier, OSU needed a bath and got a sponge down. It is a matter of time before the NCAA starts taking a closer look at their BBall problem, in particular the recruitment of Mr. Ogden.

Did you guys even read the article I posted??

It's about osu not playing UC in basketball not sure what you guys are saying.

I read it but the whole OSU recruiting thing got me thinking about how Thad Matta pulls in crazy recruits every year. If boosters are paying OSU football players, do you really think that isn't happening in the basketball program? Why doesn't OSU want to play UC? Simple. They are afraid that if they lose they will struggle to get the top players in Ohio. It's the same reason they don't want to play Xavier. It's all about recruiting.

I question any and every program in either major sport that consistently brings in MULTIPLE 5 star players a year. Call me cynical but I have severe doubts that that sort of recruiting is done in a clean manner. Thad's already got a record of being a rat- look at how he left Xavier. Hopefully he gets his in due time.

Agreed, particularly at a place where you play second fiddle to the football program. Also, when Thad first stepped into OSU he was pulling in crazy high caliber recruits at a school who was middle of the road at best for a number of years under the Jim O'Brien regime and was just coming off NCAA sanctions. They're pulling in classes now that even Duke and Kansas envy.
