Saw this on BCN and thought it was a cool topic. Here is my list:

Dante Jackson and Jason Love of xavier. Neither are great ball players but both are guys I admire because of the attitudes and they are winners. Love is the better of the two IMO. Something about those guys I respect.

Lauterdale (sp?) from OSU.

Greg Monroe, Stanley Robinson, Bob Huggins, John Calipari, Jim Calhoun, Scottie Reynolds, Evan Turner, Tom Izzo, Derrick Favors, Dominque Jones, Luke Harongody.

Gilyard and Ben Mauk. One had problems early on, recognized where he wanted to be, and what kind of person, and did everything right from that point on.

Ben Mauk never gave up on the field.

I still admire Brian Kelly. His effect on UC football was outstanding, even though he departed. I hope I have the same admiration for Coach Jones in 3 years, whether he stays or not.

I like Harangody. He's no more athletic than Thomas or Gates, so everything he has accomplished has been from hard work and determination. Seeing him battle inside for position or for rebounds makes me wish we had him on the UC team. Or for that matter, any of the top 8 from ND on the Bearcat squad.
