Anyone care to highlight any points that were mentioned?

• Huggins and Nancy
• Atmosphere of the program was the real reason for ousting, not the DUI
• Beginnings of Mick Cronin era
• In the hunt despite being in a vicious Big East, and then getting screwed by the Big East
• Some fans smart and know what happened, some still want Huggs back, some say Mick is a turncoat
• Lack of attendance possible because of this?
• Other possibility is lack of investment - crappy facilities, etc
• APR has to stay high, admins don't really care, regimes from basketball collapse still in place from back then
• College BBall not the same sport as in 97
• KMart, Van Exel mentions
• Mick established on court identity, crazy guarding
• Toughness on court on par with Huggs without affecting off court behavior
• ...Brawl....
• Ellis ejection due to nightclub thing, whole thing was actually crap and Ellis was the victim there
• Big 12 officials met with Cincy, heard Cincinnati might be involved in expansion (nothing new here...)
• They don't think expansion is soon, but eventually
• League more vulnerable at 10 though it makes more money for them
• Media drives expansion, no real mumblings from them to expand and pay out more

Excellent and insightful. As I have always said, Mick Cronin is more respected nationally for what he has done than appreciated here.

Excellent and insightful. As I have always said, Mick Cronin is more respected nationally for what he has done than appreciated here.

And, as negative as our fan base can be, their are those of us that, as Decourcy mentioned, are educated about the realism of our program. I'm a Cronin fan. There are times when I do give him hell, as im sure we all do here and there, but that's fandom. And ultimately, its because we love our Bearcats. Im very happy with Mick leading our program and hope he's here for the duration of his career. While not the prettiest of basketball brands, he gives us something to be proud of.
