University of Cincinnati basketball player Jeremiah Davis III and his family have plenty to be thankful for this Thanksgiving — even if they can't celebrate it in the same home they have for the past decade.

An electrical fire ravaged Davis’ parents’ house in Muncie, Ind. Tuesday night, leaving burnt debris and a strong odor throughout the house, which is uninhabitable.

Anybody know if there is going to be a way to donate some money without it being an NCAA infraction?

Mick Cronin said on 700 last night that they have been working with the NCAA on that. I believe he said something about a fundraiser... might coincide with the SC Upstate game? I was driving, so I only caught bits and pieces.

There is going to be some type of fundraiser after a game.. Im sure it will announced as soon as they can figure out the details with the NCAA>

Mick said in his media availability yesterday that JDIII hasn't been in practice much since this tragedy happened and that he told him that he could take a leave from the team if that was what he wanted to do.

That explains why he didn't play in the last game.
