With all the craziness going on, I do believe in President Ono is/will be trying his hardest to keep UC in a relevant conference. He is a video of Ono visiting the UC bball team practice and says some great words to the team. He also makes an interesting wager at the end! Love to see this coming from the pres!!

I truly believe if Ono was the President instead of Dr. Williams, UC would be in a better position to be going to the ACC or Big 12 NOW. I think Williams was way too married to the Big East and spent too much time trying to keep something together that was going to ultimately fail. I still think UC lands on its feet but it is disappointing to see UL get the invite over UC when UC is a much better research and academic institution, has had better football success recently, and is back to being a national player in basketball. Add in Cincinnati's television market size and really, despite my bias, is a no brainer in favor of UC.

Ha you made so many reasonable and educated statements its probably the reason why we didn't get pick It makes so much sense for us to go, but sadly, commonsense is out the window when money is the only thing that matters. Nice post.

First time in years I've been optimistic about the universitys leadership. Ono and Whit I think will work their asses off to see UC succeed.

I yelled down to him at one of the football games and asked if he was really going to shave his head (after he said he would if the football team won 10 in a row). He replied a enthusiastic yes. Nice to see a president so visible and able to interact with.
