Let's say you're the GM of the Dolphins, and you're asking Dez Bryant questions to see if he's a good fit for the team. Here are some of the things NOT to ask him.

1) "Do you eat a lot of Ethnic foods like.........?"

That's not good. It doesn't matter if he likes pizza, chicken, ribs, watermelon, hot dogs, or fondue. That might look like you stereotype.

2) "Do you watch a lot of porn?

First of all, it's not relevant. Second...do you really think he's going to be honest? Actually, if he did say yes, what would that mean? Also, you might look kind of squirrly for even asking it.

3) "Has your mom ever been a prostitute?"

Oops. Too late. Shoulda read this thread first.

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland has apologized to former Oklahoma State receiver Dez Bryant for asking whether his mother was ever a prostitute.
The apology Wednesday came after Yahoo! Sports reported that Ireland posed the question during a pre-draft interview with Bryant.

"My job is to find out as much information as possible about a player that I'm considering drafting," Ireland said in a statement. "Sometimes that leads to asking in-depth questions. Having said that, I talked to Dez Bryant and told him I used poor judgment in one of the questions I asked him. I certainly meant no disrespect and apologized to him.

Here we go....

Do I have a problem with the question? Not really

Could it have been asked in a better manner? Yes.

Here is a kid who is about to be given millions and millions of dollars, I believe as a team they have every right to ask personal questions to better understand someones life. Past often influences the future..

Give me millions and you can ask me any question you want.

Dez has grown up a rough life has been in trouble. His mom has been arrested for drugs previously. A NFL team has every right to fully understand the player they are investing A TON of money in.

Also, the question could have been asked to simply see how Dez handles the situation. This would be a simple way to determine if he is a lose cannon or has control.. Would I blame him if he jacked the person in the face? Probably not.

Dez should probably get used to different/strange/rude comments. Like it or not he will become a public figure, will continuously be talked to by 'drunk guy', 'hate your team guy'.....

In this age of the PC police, when the number one job of someone in a high-paying job is 'Keep that damn job'...I would have not asked that question, but phrased another similar one differently. It's not what you ask, but how.

How about "Does your mother often go by the title Madam?"

LOL

I got one.

How about "After your mom has sex, does she say Visa or MC?"

Ireland is now saying that Dez told him that his dad was a pimp, and his mom worked for him. Also Dez reportedly had this to say about his life...

"My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really."

nice!

I'm sure, but I couldn't resist posting it.

Frankly, he would have been better off not making this an issue, as half the people think he and his parents have issues.
