in exchange for oufielder drew stubbs and minor league pitching prospect
daniel corcino.

Wow. His injury history scares me, though, as does the fact that he's set to become a free agent after this year.

Unfortunately, this sounds too good to be true. A lot like the tweets that UC was ACC bound. The Red Sox could do better than Stubbs/Corcino. He is injury prone, but if they could have a healthy Ellsbury for the playoffs he would be a difference maker.

A lot of deals are "on the verge of happening," especially at the Winter meetings. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I think Wildman took the bait on this one.

Walker and Tracy Jones are the two reporting this rumor. To say that these two lack credibility would be the understatement of the century. No way does Boston give up Jacoby for Stubbs and Corcino. Walker is dumb and Jones is dumber. Two worst radio personalities in the history of talk radio. A Huge embarassment ot the city.

Apparently Boston asked for Bailey or Latos in return.

That's ridiculous for a 1-year rental, who has been injury prone, and had like 1 good season ever.

Corcino/Stubbs? Fine.
Latos or Bailey. Nada.
