After reading in one of the other threads it got me to thinking. If Cash can get through the St. Johns game, he could sit out the Rutgers and WV game and have almost two weeks off. Alternatively if he could get through the WV game, he would have a week off without missing a game as they don't have another game after that Saturday until the following Saturday.

I'm just not that sure he can make it 5 more games with out some rest. I would love to see him get through these 3 road games then sit out Rutgers and make it a game time decision for the WV game and go from there.

Tough next couple of games in BE play. Although I thought cash played a very solid game against USF. Mick said knees and shoulder where the issue? Hes played well through it, a week off for the entire team will be much needed by that time.

As much as i agree about resting Cash, there is no way UC can not have him play and win.. He is the only true PG that they have and is starting to come into his own.. What i like most about him besides his speed is he dont turn the ball over almost at all... It would really be hard to win any game in the Big East without him..

Cash has done a great job limiting his turnovers this year. Very good insight on that topic.

PG = protect the ball (check), make FTs (check), good A:TO ratio (check).

Bonus = creating turnovers (big check), 10 ppg (no check)

That is a great point, his turnovers are way down this year, and are they key to him being a big asset to this team, and to the team having such a low turnover per game number.

Unfortunately that's not an option as I recall Mick saying it's either go 100% during practice and play, or don't practice and don't play. That's how I took it at least.

That's coaches speak. If his starting pg is hurting and the only way to get better is rest, he will rest him for practice. Not take off practice but may take a lighter work load and sit out a few drills here and there.

I don't see Cash missing any games to "rest". If he misses a game it's because his injury will not allow him to play which I don't think will be the case. I just hope he finds his form again because he couldn't miss prior to the shoulder injury and now he can't make anything.

Trust me it's an option. Especially if they can hang around the top 5 in league standings.
