Sounds like you have been sharing Cronin's watering hole. Respect will come when he stops asking for it and it is deserved. Til then, it will only be given grudgingly. He will get his due if it is warranted. There is no grand conspiracy to keep Cronin down or UC out of the national arena.

You don't think respect is warranted right now? You're joking right?
really the more i read this, this guy has to be a troll/fake account. Theres no way. Very good job trolling though, i admit to that bc everything you imply is beyond infuriating, including your tone.
The type of long term respect he is looking for, no. Not to say he is not to be applauded for this season because I think he deserves some due. Respect through national exposure however, jury is still out on that.
Fact.
You can like the statement or hate it, but the fact of the matter is this. UC must continue to win YEAR in and YEAR our to bring back the national recognition. A great NCAA run will bring out everyone in cincy, Ohio. But national respect is earned by winning at a high level multiple years.
What kind of respect does having your drunk barfing police video shown on ESPN Sportscenter get you? What about losing in the second round 8 out of your last 9 seasons?
BTW, Mick has UC in the 3rd round of the NCAA tourney this year!

There are two legit sides to this and I would hope both can be debated without resorting to childishness. There is a difference between long term respect and respect for the body of work you've done in a season.
UC has won 26 games this season and should receive some attention for the job they've done. There is a legit gripe when you finish ahead of, and beat people, and they are appluaded and your not. Mick Cronin should be recognized for the job he's done as well.
However, long term respect comes with consistent winning. But you can't have long term success without first having that first years success. This program now has something to build on and has taken that first step toward attaining the type of respect they cherish for the name Cincinnati Bearcats!
Now, would someone mind making me wise to the trolling/fake account business. Seems I have been granted admission into that fraternity without a proper introduction.
I usually do not watch much b-ball but March is not your usual basketball month.
Not a troll. Just a Cronin hater. Just can't get over the fact that he left to go to Louisville. Kills him that they are doing well, because it doesn't fit the agenda of hating Cronin. No question he is hopeing that Cronin is a one year wonder. Funny, though, he said earlier that basketball isn't his sport, football is. I guess he is back to stir the pot.
