The Bearcats are now a lock for the NCAA Tourney. The Big East Tourney is now for seeding purposes only.

It's about time you figured something out the rest of us have known for some time now. That's not much of a limb, by the way.

Do we win the tie-breaker between us, Georgetown and South Florida for the four seed and double-bye? How is that determined?

Yes we do and I believe it has to do with wins over top teams in conference. Since no one beat Syracuse, it goes to Marquette. Our one win over MU clinched it for us.

"Ties are broken using an elaborate set of tiebreaker rules, with the first two tiebreakers being head-to-head record and common record against the next best conference team."

Seems odd to me, but I'll take it. I thought maybe they had a three-sided coin.

Cincinnati and Georgetown defeated Marquette (#2 in the league) while USF lost to them. That eliminates the Bulls, then you go to a head-to-head and UC defeated Georgetown. As a result, UC is the 4 seed.
