Reed is transferring out of Georgia Tech. He would not have to sit out a year, as he plans to transfer after graduating in the summer term. He would have one year of eligibility left. He is known as a good shooter, as he shot 38% from beyond the arc this year. Averaged 5.2 ppg after he lost his starting job, but 2 years ago as a starter, he averaged 7.5 ppg. He already transferred out of Arkansas State, so this is his second time transferring. He probably wants more playing time, which we could offer with all the inexperience we have.

Also important to note, he had 25 turnovers vs. 37 assists, that is a promising stat for a team who needs someone who could handle the ball.

Evan Gordon is also a 5th year player leaving Ariiz.St. He is from Ind. and wants to transfer within 200 miles from home for his Sr. year Has been in contact with Butler and IU. We looked at him also.

Did I miss something? Is the NCAA allowing UC 16 scholarships for next season? If not, it seems very unlikely UC will be adding anyone to next year's team that is not already here.

Then why are they still actively recruiting, Sherlock?

Mick has said time and time again that he is ALWAYS recruiting. Siddy wouldn't have come on campus for a visit if Mick wasn't going to accept his commitment. We'll see this fall what the roster looks like but if there is a player out there that can help this team, Mick will find a way to make it work.

Interesting, don't see that very often, sorta weird he would transfer back.

Do you have a link? I tried to google it and couldn't find it, it's probably there, but Im not finding it.....

Does n e one know whats going one with Michael Dixon transfer from Missouri i know he is a trouble maker but he had interest in UC before but he is able to play right away and would be really nice at the point gaurd spot at 10 to 12 points a game and alot of experience. I know last weekend he visited east carolina but with them gettin BJ Tyson i dont know how much they need him now.

That simply isn't true. Mick may have been telling him all along that it'd depend on the decisions some players make or if an incoming recruit is ineligible. He very well could have been pushing Siddy to wait to make a decision.

I agree. In my opinion kicking players off scholarship to make room for perceived "better players" is a slippery slope to go down. If a recruit is not "Big East" now "American" material do not offer him a scholarship to begin with. Now if in advance you tell a guy you are not really good enough but we can use you for a year that is okay, but to pull a scholarship from a guy who made a four or five commitment is not the way to go.

If Reed was a one season guy, I'm glad he went elsewhere.

UC's team will be young next season, and I'd rather they give time to the veterans already here and mix in the freshmen who will be here for 4 years.
