The ability of Butch and Co. to get creative in recruiting will be an important factor in getting to a point where they have sufficient depth year after year. These impact transfers are a big deal. Also finding a player like Braxton Lane could end up being huge. If the University can find a way in the next couple seasons to secure a position at the big boys table for this program I'm confident Butch can take recruiting to even higher levels. Things are better now than ever but there is still so much more ground to gain between the 'Cats and the Buckeyes and Wolverines of the world.

For the first time in Bearcat history, we have a coaching staff that has a lot of relationships established with coaches not only at the high school level but in the collegiate and professional levels as well. Even BK didn't have this going for him. Remember last week when Butch went to the Miami Heat game? I have a feeling that is going to end up paying dividends somewhere down the road.
