It is great to see Cash shoot well. If the kid can regain some of the confidence in his shot and some swagger like he had in high school, I think he can really take this team to the next level in becoming a tournament team.
In my opinion, I believe that it is vital that Kilpatrick does not feel as though he has to score thirty every game. I know Mick has already said he will be the scorer, but as a freshman, I do not want to see him try to do too much.
Go Bearcats!

Agree with everything you said. Cincinnati should have won all 3 of these games, but it is physical play against someone other than yourselves. It is nice to hear chemistry is good on the court and to hear the players talking about sharing the ball and not caring who scores as long as they win. I stay excited about UC basketball and can't wait till the start of the season.

Exactly why we'll be better this year. You're right we should have won all three, the good news is we did and we did it convincingly. Hopefully the team can come out of this with confidence and the early play time allows them to be more focused and ready to go once the season starts and make them that much better come conference play.

If anyone could please give me some info on Mr. Gaines and how he looked. I looked at the stats and he didnt get alot of minutes but do you think he has a good potential to contribute this year. For some weird reason i am more excited about him than any other player other that JPARK on this years squad. Maybe its the size and athleticism he posseses.

In the one game that was streamed online, Gaines only played a couple minutes at the end of the game. He scored on a lay-up and was fouled, and missed his free throw. He had a blocked shot at the end as well, but it was tough to gauge his basketball skills.

Size wise, he is a large man. Very tall, lengthy, and broad shoulders. Body type is similar to Dwight Howard. Certainly has some lbs to put on but I'm confident Dave Andrews will do the job.

As far at PT goes, I think it all depends on Biggie. If Biggie can give 5-10 minutes of solid rebounding and defense, then I don't think he will see the floor too much.

I would tend to agree with this. Gaines has the tools to be a defensive force. If he gets the defensive principles and schemes down he could see some time due to that.
