Albeit on the road, this game shouldn't be too tough, seeing as Illinois was just 2-10 last year. I'm going with 31-14.

Anyone making the trip to Champagne? I believe the drive is a little under 4 hours, not too bad. Tickets are dirt cheap on StubHub (down to $3 a ticket, and the seats aren't even that bad). I'll be in Chicago for the Bears/Bengals game Sunday so I'm trying to squeeze the game in Saturday.

40-25 UC. Illinois has a much better offense than Purdue, but there defense folds like a cardboard box. I think our defense will hold them to 25, and as NTS said, expect for the, to sling the ball around.

Cats take it 31-10. Illinois is too one dimensional. The Cats defense picks off a couple passes in this one.

UC - 27
Illinois - 17

I think their mobile QB could create a few problems. If Munchie gets the start again I think the offense struggles.

I thought the defense looked just fine last week and our running game will do well on the road.

Cincinnati 45
Illinois 14

35-24 cats. Do hope Kay is healthy and starts the game. Don't feel like Munchie is the guy I want starting for the Cats all season. Much to inconsistent. Love him as a back up but not as a starter. Kay is the better player especially with decision making and accuracy.

Defense will need to apply lots of pressure on Illini QB.

I totally agree with your feelings about Munchie. There is something very unsettling when watching Munchie on the field. I guess I still have last year fresh in my mind. I also was impressed with Kay during his games, I want to see more of him.

Munchie just doesn't pass the eye test as a thrower. Add to it the fact that he doesn't protect the football when he carries and it's a potential recipe for disaster. He's got great physical tools and he seems like a smart kid, but his technique is just plain ugly all around.

Out of curiosity, anybody doing a double-dip this weekend of UC at Illinois and Bengals at Bears? Didn't even occur to me that this was a possibility until a friend of mine was wondering how far Chicago was from the University of Illinois because he's going up for the Bengals game.

We seem really flat and sloppy. Annnnd Muchie confirms my feelings towards him as being a terrible passer. So tired of seeing him throw balls all over.

They are taking us to the woodshed. Hope we wake up at some point.

Rod Gilmore is a homer. Kay is much better than Munchie. I'm happy they switched. Illinois has a good offense, but I think Kay will bring us back.

I hope so but we look dead. SO far this has been a complete embarrassment. I feel bad for people who traveled to this debacle.
