10 reasons to love the conference this year.

(Noel Devine got number 1)

2. The offense of the Cincinnati Bearcats:
Brian Kelly did a fantastic job with this program and sparked the Big East's top-ranked offense last year. But don't expect the fireworks show to fade out at Cincy now that Kelly has moved on to South Bend. Butch Jones has followed Kelly, same as he did when Kelly left Central Michigan. Jones' offenses were quite productive during his three seasons at CMU; Central scored 30 or more points in 21 games during Jones' tenure. The Chippewas posted at least 40 points 11 times, including five 50-point efforts. The 2007, 2008 and 2009 seasons were the school's highest-scoring seasons since CMU joined the MAC in 1975. At Cincy, Jones inherits a slick dual-threat quarterback in Zach Collaros, the conference's runaway leader in passing efficiency to go with a dangerous running back, Isaiah Pead, and a crew of dangerous receivers in Armon Binns, D.J. Woods and USC transfer Vidal Hazelton -- plus a good tight end in Ben Guidugli.

11. Extreme parity: No other league is as equal from top to bottom. The top six teams -- Cincinnati, Pitt, West Virginia, UConn, Rutgers, South Florida -- can all beat each other on any given day. And Syracuse and Louisville are getting better and can spring a surprise as well.

12. Young quarterbacks: Zach Collaros, Tom Savage, B.J. Daniels, Geno Smith, Ryan Nassib, Tino Sunseri. All of them have one year or less of starting experience and all except Collaros are sophomores. It will be fun to watch these guys continue to develop over the next couple of years.

13. UConn's offensive line: Feldman mentioned Todman, but don't forget about the guys who clear his path. I love watching the Huskies' offensive front. They're almost always the biggest line in the league, and they're also very fundamentally sound and a force to be dealt with in the running game.

14. New coaches: What conference had better offseason hires than the Big East, which brought in Skip Holtz, Charlie Strong and Butch Jones? All three of those guys are going to have quick impacts and will likely be on other schools' wish lists in short order
