UC vs Duke

Fun MBB schedule nugget: Bearcats were supposed to play Duke this season in NJ. But after title game, ESPN switched Butler into that slot.

Because of the change, ESPN then put together the event in Oklahoma City with UC set to take on OU Saturday.

That is interesting though... Could have potentially been a good game, though, I think UC would give them a much better game right now than they would have three weeks ago. This team has developed a lot as they've played together. Plus Irving is hurt right now and that's messed up Duke's mojo.

Certainly would have been nice to get a chance for a huge win, however its not like losing that game would help as much as winning against Oklahoma. Look at Marquette, they've lost to every good team they've played and it really hasn't benefited them. Sure we want to schedule tough but if they don't win; it don't help. Its the sub 250 RPI teams that we play that really hurt. Need to schedule more Wright State, IPFW type teams.

Speaking of Duke, I didn't realize they were the only team from the ACC ranked right now. You want to talk about poor schedules... if you compared UC's and Duke's for the entire season right now, UC would play 6 more ranked teams (8) than Duke (2)... kind of puts things in perspective, huh naysayers?
