This is the first true road game of the year for UC and I'm interested to see where their concentration level will be. This is a game the Bearcats should win especially if Marshall's best player DeAndre Kane is out of the game.

The only way I see this being close is if Cincinnati allows Marshall to kill them on the offensive boards. Both Tinnon and Spikes average over 9 boards a game, 3.5 and 3.9 of those on the offensive end.

Marshall does not shoot well from distance. Spikes averages 5 ft's a game, and thats where Kane makes his living, averaging 7. They move the ball well with 16 apg but turn it over at a clip of 14 per.

If UC shoots well and rebounds they win by at least 12. If their shots are off and they don't box out, this could be a very close game. I believe Kelvin Gaines will see minutes because both Tinnon and Spikes can get you in foul trouble.

Rebound...truly this game will be that simple.

Good analysis Jeff. I was very concerned about this game at the beginning of the year and thought it could very easily be a loss. But this Marshall team is yet to gel and play the way they are capable. And now they lose Kane, so I don't see us dropping this one. Hopefully the players are out for revenge and are not looking forward to Wednesday.
