I thought the same thing westside, surprised he showed it. But I sure did like it. And it worked had they not missed the shot. So wonder what the story with Yancy is? Did he have 2 fouls or just 1? Defense and transition continue to look solid, but offense leaves a bit to be desired so far in this game. Not shooting too well from the half court set.

Not for sure why Yancy didn't play much in the first half. I belive he only had one foul, but I could be wrong.

The offense has been very sloppy. But as you said, the D has been good. Not the performance I was hoping to see. OK just keeps hanging around...mostly by are mistakes.

10-0 BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! Please contact the writer on the rivals post and let him know UC is for real and if he wants he can jump on the bandwagon.. To win a game vs a solid OK team pretty much at there house with not being able to shoot the 3, wow nice win... UC has to be one of the deepest teams in the nation...the back of the wagon just got a little more heavier...OHHHH OHHHHH OHHHHH LETS GO UC!!!!!

Guys if this team starts shooting the 3 consistently they are going to be really, really hard to beat....

Proud of the 'Cats tonight. They fought hard and didn't give in. It was a good test, and I believe they passed overall. The zone defense gave them some trouble, but the Cats defense was more effective. I question Cronin's use of multiple players, but it does really help keep a fresh team on the floor and make it possible to apply pressure for a good majority of the game. Good team win. Over the last few years, it has been difficult for me to admit, but I have wished the Cats could be more like XU, in the sense of playing as a team. This year, the Bearcats are playing as a team, and they are not reliant upon one or two high scorers. 10 and 0!
Go Bearcats!

This game was good for this team. We were tested on the road and forced to make plays in the second half and make free throws to seal the game. Probably only the 3rd or 4th game where our starters actually played in the last 8 minutes. Double digit "road" win against a decent Big 12 team is fine by me. But....

We really need Thomas to improve down low and finish. He has struggled during the first 9 games finishing against weaker teams, but has gotten away with a lot because of his height. There was a perfect opportunity at the end of the game (probably around 4 minutes left) where he had an offensive rebound and could have EASILY tip-slammed it or laid it in while in the air. Instead he brought the ball down, didn't finish, got fouled and made 1/2 FTs. And he needs to stop shooting jumpers unless it is deep in the shot clock. With the way Wilks and Jackson are playing, it's hard to keep them off the floor, especially with the way Thomas is playing.

Guys, let's face it. We have been shooting pretty good the last couple games, almost too good. We were due for an off night. It could have been due to our first true road game, playing in an NBA arena, playing against better athletes, or just an off night. But we still got after it on the defensive end and grinded out a victory.

These types of games are important to be able to win. We aren't always going to shoot 40% from 3 and play unbelievable on offense. There will be games like this, where we win 55-50 and there will be games where we will have to win 80-75. This team has what it takes to win those types of games this year.

10-0 feels good.

I thought it was interesting how much Hubert Davis was into Justin Jackson, he wondered openly why he didn't play in the second half and said he thought Justin would be one of the 5 in the game late in games down the stretch, seemed to have a man crush on him.

Something I noticed was that our scoring droughts came when Cash was on the bench, he has to stay on the floor for this team to function offensively at a high leve, the other guys just don't run the offense like he does. He may be the most important player on the team at this point. You can see it the first time they go down the floor and he's out of the game, then it just turns back on when he comes back in. Amazing how much of a difference it makes.

Justin is a freshman that is limited offensively. We are all excited for what he can become but he will not be on the court in pressure situations.

Nor should he be on the court in those situations....

Justin is a liability on defense. Hes overaggressive and fouls at a rapid pace. I like what he brings as a spark. He will develop into a good one.
