UC vs Oregon

I hope we play well and win! We should be around a ranking of 15. There have been a lot of teams ahead of us that have lost this week! Just really exciting to think about.
 
Kind of glad we're not playing UNLV. I know they're ranked now, but Oregon could be a better RPI by season's end. Plus we won't be playing in a hostile environment, although the experience would've been nice. I'm not sure how in a tournament format one team gets to play in their home arena. The crowd for that first game was absolutely pathetic, there couldn't have been more than a few hundred people there.
 
Oregon doesn't shoot the ball well from behind the arc but they do average 77 ppg and have shot over 46% from the field this season. UC can't let Kazemi control the boards. Bearcats could have a big night scoring off turnovers, the Ducks averge 16 plus a game. Cats win by double digits and Parker plays much better.

For the record, I picked the Bearcats to go 28-3, so I am probably considered being unrealistic. Undefeated in OOC and 3 losses in BE play.

I'm confident, but you seem extremely overconfident.

What factors into my thinking is that we have a veteran team which should help it do well in OOC play. The second thing is that the Big East is down this year, IMO. And this is Mick's best team by far.

But in terms of UC's national championship prospects, they have alot of work to do, such as shoring up the low post play, eliminating turnovers, just to name a few. But they have a good starting point with room to grow.
 
Overall the team is looking go so far but Parker and JJ look terrible. Can't figure out why JJ isn't improving at all. Right now he is keeping Oregon in the game.
 
Cats came out shooting hot making a lot of 3's. Then around the 10 min. mark while us being up around 15 points we started to coast and are getting lazy on offense, wasting possessions. We easily should have 50+ points and what a terrible way to end the half. I honestly thought this team was smarter. This team has yet to learn how to play with a lead and finish around the rim. Hope they make corrections needed for the 2nd half.

JJ has regressed so bad its painful. The end of last year he was solid on offense and now he looks like a lost little boy who doesn't belong on the floor.
