uc vs osu

We are at a decisive disadvantage. Love to see the Cats win but with all the resources Coach Meyer has at his disposal. I rate our chances as slim to none.

Sadly I am with you. The cats will have two (semi) easy games at home then head to Columbus to play what most consider at least a top ten team. I am very excited for Gunner, but we have to remember that will be his first road game in college EVER. There are a lot of unknowns about this team and I think they will get much better throughout the season, but it is difficult for me to imagine them knocking off OSU on the road. I will be rooting hard though.

Unfortunately, the Bucks have a senior heisman contender (hate saying that) in Braxton Miller. And, although they do lose Carlos Hyde and a lot of other important pieces, they are sure to reload.

That being said, if Gunner really was going to prove everyone wrong and take the CFB world by storm, there would be no better game to do it in than this one. It would be the single most important win in this program's history. So, there is certainly a motivational factor the team will be striving towards.

Also, Tuberville vs. Meyer will be nice match up to watch.

OSU is on another level than us. With that said, their defense was suspect last year and we have some offensive weapons this year. For us to have a chance we need to go nuts on offense and hope our defense can create some turnovers. Stranger things have happened, but being on the road and the fact that I highly doubt Urban will let them overlook us I don't see this one going in our favor. Plus our defense is highly suspect as well. We let some bad teams put up some points last year. Wonder what refs we'll get, too, hopefully not the same buffoons who did the Illinois game last year.

I think it will be a great physical some what chippy game, our players are playing for respect, respect that osu has never shown us. I think we come out firing

No they don't, uc will be really tough this year

When has UC ever played well against a top opponent? There is going to be a massive disparity in talent on both lines and UC will get blown out. That is par for the course with UC football which is why I couldn't care less if it existed...

Don't care if it existed? There's an easy way to make it all go away, it starts with that little red X in the top right corner

Here it is in enhanced, enlarged size to make it easier for your tired eyes

Very ignorant post, uc has a quality football program which has been to 2 bcs bowls in the past couple of years, osu may get better recruits but uc has their share of big time talent on both ends of the ball (a few examples: Jeff luc, gunner Kiel), and this year bring some serious weapons to the table and will be very explosive on offense. I guess #6 ranked undefeated Rutgers wasn't a top opponent, or Pitt wasn't, I guess wvu wasn't either. Same with Oklahoma when we almost beat them. Uc definitely has a chance and will have a very good season, don't post about football if u don't care they exist because u don't know anything about them

I can only imagine what you would say if someone posted this same thing on the BBall board.

Cincinnati Football has finished in the top 30 five times in six years.

Be careful with those facts, he doesn't like those. UC football can be frustrating, but we have a great program for how small our budget is compared to the usual powerhouses.

They just set you up to disappoint. You've got Boise State that took down Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Georgia, etc...then you've got UCF that beat Baylor and Penn State. All UC has been able to do is beat marginally good BCS caliber opponents. What is Cincinnati's best win the past decade? I guess it was the game against Oregon State up in their house?? UC has lost to North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Florida, Tennessee and Oklahoma (x2). Every meaningful game on a national stage they've lost....who cares if you win 9-10 games when most of them are coming against Temple and Syracuse. UC simply cannot compete with the big boys, especially with the pathetic budget and TV revenue...

I recall you saying something similar last year after the Illinois game but, if i also remember correctly, you were watching the UCF - USF game hoping for a Bulls victory.

Rutgers, WVU and Pitt were nice wins but on a national stage. Yeah those two BCS games were amazing for the fans but the results were a blowout against Florida and a beatdown against a not so great Virginia Tech team. Then you've got the blowout last year against UNC and I am starting to notice a trend. UC comes up way small on a big stage...

Yes because of the BCS money it brings to the school but of course UC lost the game against UNC.

And what do you call UC basketball losing to Harvard and Creighton in the first round of the tourney if you think two BCS appearances were a disappointment?
