The Bearcats travel to UCF (16-9, 8-7 AAC, NET #92, KenPom #101) tonight as the two teams face off for the first time this season in a battle for 6th place in the AAC standings.

Despite returning most of their team from last season, the Knights' 21-22 season has taken on a similar trajectory to the Bearcats' in that both teams showed lots of promise during the non-conference schedule (both teams got their NET rankings into the 40s) before enduring much rougher stretches during AAC play.

Both teams take lots of 3-point shots and both have made about 35% of their attempts during conference play (UCF shot just above 35% for their non-conference as well, while we shot below 30%).

The key tonight will be to chase their best shooters off the 3-point line and make them beat us closer to the rim where they've shot 43.3% on 2-point shots during AAC play (2nd worst in the league).

The Bearcats are 2.5-point underdogs on the road.

I was wrong about Temple and I hope I am wrong about UCF!

Mix it up Wes. Breathe new life into it

Thanks for doing these previews every game QueensNYC. I lost my motivation when we played ourselves off the bubble. I want to see the young guys get on the floor as much as possible.

At this point I just hope to see us be somewhat competitive and play defense... Still been disappointed lately.

That half made a good case of working its way into the bottom 3 of our worst of the season so far.

Showing some life early in the 2nd half. Let's see if we can get a few stops.

sounds familiar. Come out piss poor, make a run late in the 1st half or early 2nd to give a little hope, only to squander any chance of a real comeback. Against shit teams. Never thought we would be this bad.

To think that this same UCF team lost to USF by 24 is just as mind-blowing as this same UC team beating Illinois by 20.

Not many positive things to say about that performance. I thought Saunders looked ok. Davenport can be a good role player if he sticks to set shots and crashing the glass. But overall, we need to wipe the slate clean. We're bad.

That is never going to happen. It is clear from watching Davenport that he's more interested in "getting his" than playing sound team ball. He's also just abysmal on D. Hopefully he walks.

Davenport isn’t going anywhere. Why would
he ? I don’t disagree that he takes a lot of
bad shots but there aren’t too many options.
Kinda tough to play team ball when there’s no
team.
I’m actually equally disappointed in the offensive
“scheme”- what ?
