Your University of Cincinnati Bearcats are ranked....... 26th.

Not completely unfair IMO. We just cant get into the top 25 to start the year can we? I still think the AP will show us some love and that is what many people go by. 26th is reasonable though. With a win over Fresno we should be around 22 or 23.

Others of Note:

Oklahoma starts at #8. Good news for us because that means if they go 3-0 and beat #20 FSU we could be facing a top 5 team on sept 25.

Pitt starts at #15

WVU starts (t) 24th

UC is 26th.

Uconn is 33rd

ND is 34th

USF is 45th

I'm not surprised by UC's ranking.... I'm a little disappointed though.

You could find to put UC over about 10 or more teams that are in that top 25. They all have lost key players, did not do as well as UC has done the past two seasons, one weak side of the ball (offense or defense), a difficult schedule to navigate, some have shown a pattern of losing games they are not supposed to and (ahem) UC defeated three of them last season.

I guess UC is just going to have to surprise people again for a 4th year in a row. Can't wait to hear people wonder where the heck Cincinnati came from and how they are doing it this year.

The last thing people remember about UC is getting crushed in the Sugar Bowl. Then they think about BK leaving and then they think about Pike and Gilyard leaving. No surprising.
