This is the season of what if's.

Gonzaga: What if UC holds on to a 10 point lead with 10 minutes to go. What if the foul on Yancy was called. That would be a top 15 win right now and might be enough to have us in the tournament.

Xavier: What if UC holds on to a 4 point lead with 1 minute to go. What if Lance hits that shot that bounced off the front of the rim.

Pitt: What if UC hits a couple shots and win by 3 instead of losing by 3.

Seton Hall: What if we dont give up a 14 point lead we had the first.

St. John: What if we don't have two turnovers up two with under 30 seconds to go.

Marquette: What if Heywoord (sp) doesn't hit a long three to tie it up with 30 seconds to go.

WVU: What if we dont give up a 13 point lead. A lead we helf well into the second half.

Nova: What if Deonta hits the wide open three?

We didnt win these game we probably could/should have because we can't handle the pressure of the situation. Our coach doesn't handle it well and our players don't handle it well.

Looking at this list is sad. One or two of these game go our way and we are going to the dance. Good teams finish. We are not a good team. We are a talented team. But not good.

What if Kennedy had been hired? Recruiting wouldn't have suffered nearly as much, and the big piece of the puzzle lost, Devin Downey, would have stayed. I still suggest that him staying would have given UC three more successful years instead of the 'what if' stage that we've been at during the same period.
Frankly, I'm at the point where I'm wondering if UC is as good as they can be given the current talent and coaching.

Kennedy is in a much better situation than Mick and they will be playing in the same tournament.

Ole Miss people are not happy with Kennedy.

Like the poster on BCN said, it seems like bad coaches say a lot of what if's at the end of the year. Maybe.

Also pointed out, if UC was a decent FT shooting team we would be a lock for the NCAA.

I think Kennedy and Cronin are about equal in terms of coaching ability. I think Mick has been hampered by what he inherited and Kennedy by the fact it's hard to recruit to Ole Miss. The continuity Kennedy would have provided would have been huge. But Mick has done a very good job repairing the damage that was done by the whole firing situation.

I'm not a big fan of Kennedy.

you are correct

LOL, nice contribution. :D

Hahaha.

Yeah, not much detail on my post.

There are many reasons that I don't like Kennedy too much, most stem from watching his team at Ole Miss. Some of my dislike comes from racial slurs from an incident involving a taxi driver.

I don't know him personally. I'm merely talking about my displeasure with him as a coach.

Cmon...his international incident was outstanding. He's got an ego (like most HC's), but you're right, no call for racial slurs, from any person regardless of race.
