I already laid out what he has to no for me not to "marginalize it". Start recruiting guys that aren't a.) only from North Carolina b.) players who wouldn't start for any top 50 team in America. I'm not exactly asking for the moon here.

No problem with him recruiting in Carolina. I do have a problem with him exclusively recruiting in Carolina though. Not sure if this really needs to be said, but to succeed at this level you're going to have to recruit from more than one state. And I don't have a problem with him not having...

I'm going to post one more thing. I'm sure my negativity isn't welcome and I'm not going to turn into JustinHub just bombarding the board with it. For those that think I'm just looking for things to complain about I assure that's not the case. These are things I brought up in advance. So...

1.) When I'm talking about being recruited over or moving down the depth chart I'm talking now, or in for the upcoming season. Did I say they started to recruit over him in 2019? 2.) Maybe you're right. Maybe he's going to be awesome. Really weird though that he'd commit to some BS program...

Tari was a true Freshman and was a top 100 recruit (#57 by Rivals). Oguama was a Sophmore and was ranked in the 500's in his class. Newman was a Junior who ranked outside the top 150. I don't really consider these to be apples to apples comparisons.

But if Wes is the deciding and only factor then why not commit to Wes right out of high school? I think it's pretty clear he initially valued Clemson over UNCG. So if he's that good, and he's going to be fully back to form then why transfer from Clemson? I think that answer is pretty clear...

Not sure you really care, but you'd be 100% wrong. I had a few conversations about this dude a week or so ago when his name first surfaced. Didn't want Miller going after another kid from North Carolina, who was a bench player on a 11-18 Wake Forest team. A school which bears his family name...

I am aware of his injury, yes. And I did watch a couple highlight vids. I'm also aware that for whatever reason he decided to transfer from Clemson to UNCG. This doesn't suggest to me that him being slowed down by injury is the only reason he didn't play as much in 2020. It leads me to...

Not starter quality for a shitty Wake Forest or a shitty Clemson in 2021 though. This is exactly my point. We've sunken so low that we have to pretend to be excited for bench players from teams that aren't even tournament quality. Although I guess in comparison to a guy like Koval or McGinnis...

Yeah, I don't see it. I see him laying the groundwork for a team that falls well outside of the top 50 for 2022 and 2023 as well. Most of these guys he brought in are going to be here for 2+ years. And if you took all 5 of these guys and moved them to a recuiting class for a Furman or an Elon...

1.) Not a boomer (my dad is though) but I'm also not a 14 year old who replies "Ok boomer" either. 2.) I don't expect a top 25 class in year 1. I said we used to get excited for players that may exist in those classes. Now we're excited about UNCG transfers, Ody Aguama and Quinn Slazinski...

Couldn't you say this for any team that lands "studs"? That the role players and younger guys may not want to stay on board for depth? Why is this unique to us? You say we're still going to land one but I find that highly unlikely. I really hope you're right though.

It amazes me such how far this program as fallen. And not just under Miller, or Brannen. We used to actually want legitimate big time players to come here. I'm not talking about us being Duke or Carolina, or UK. But still a team pulling some top 25 classes and landing high major players...

Would normally have no problem with Oguama commitment. Nothing at all wrong with adding someone like on their own. We need big guys and he was at least decent in the ACC. BUT... I'm really souring on Wes Miller as this goes on. It seems like he's completely incapable of recruiting anyone...

I'm glad Mike is back. I don't doubt he's good at what he does, and it's nice to have someone with connections to the school and city return. That said, I do question if he's as good as everyone says he is. Reading all of the different boards I come across a lot of "best in the business"...

    The Wes Miller Era

Just in case anyone else is reading this and is wondering about the comment about the strength coach, he's refererring to a rumor that Mike Redhfelt may be returning.

    The Wes Miller Era

Could not be less impressed. We've brought in 7 new faces to our program (4 players and 3 coaches). Every single one of them has ties to UNCG. This is the #1 coach in America under the age of 40? This is what he brings recruiting and connections wise, nothing but UNCG guys?

We're down to only 1 spot left? Sorry, the more I think about this the more disappointed I get. One of the biggest questions I had about Miller was whether he could recruit nationally and whether he could attract quality coaches to build out his staff. So far every single person we've...
