    Memphis 1/15

As someone stated earlier, this would be a BAD loss the way Memphis has played. Hoping we come out strong, angry from letting that UCONN game slip away. A win tomorrow and Saturday puts us in a good position early on to win the conference. Besides ECU, our first five games have been tough so I...

http://the-boneyard.com/threads/espns-schad-says-maybe-ucf-and-cincinnati-to-the-big-12.61344/ Anyone remember this from the summer? His prediction has been strangely accurate so far.

I would think so; I'd definitely be into that.

Haha yes living half way between Columbus and Lexington is a struggle at times...

    Conference Realignment

All good points, though I'd be surprised if we don't play those teams because Cronin is afraid to lose. I think a major reason we don't do it is program perception. Most Ohio schools have less of a program than we do, so we don't think they deserve a return game. Whether that is a good reason...

Wanted them to lose but they were damn impressive late this year. Still can't stand the fans and such, but the team was great.

Good when we get in these tournaments early on to solidify the OOC.

Good news about Cumberland? Based on his tweets during this game, he is NOT an Ohio state fan haha

http://zagsblog.com/articles/kentucky-kansas-ramping-up-efforts-to-land-alkins/ Cincinnati named among 5 teams recruiting him the hardest. Also said he's not just looking for the top program, which is good news with Kansas offering and Kentucky in the mix.

    UConn

Honestly it doesn't stop. I don't look at "young" as an excuse; rather, it is fact. My goal for this team at the beginning of the year was to make the tournament. That's it. I'm disappointed with a loss today, but losing to UCONN on the road is right in line with a young bubble-ish team currently.

Ono usually says on Twitter why he is making certain trips, but has not said anything about these meetings. I think these can only be good news; not getting my hopes up too much, but promising enough.

Gary Parrish Top 25 and 1

I would guess not; too many teams to jump just beating ECU and a UCONN team with an awful record. If we take care of the next 3 games, then definitely.

He was. It was really bad. I stopped caring what he thought after that travesty.

    UConn

Ellis and Clark should be able to handle Brimah together. A now healthy Boat right is always scary. Everything tells me we should win this game, but winning at UCONN is no small task no matter their record.

Love the post Jack. I've been trying to explain this to some of my friends as well. Three years in a row we've had new roles for players that have struggled early on, then put it together around new years. Davis is doing a great job, but he is just implementing what Mick already has in place.

    Conference Realignment

I'm not sure I see your point. If I offended you, that was not my intent. I just wanted to point out that UC does not schedule local teams wanting home and homes because the program "loses" money playing on the road that they would have made playing at home.
