    AAC Conference Tournament Thread

ECU falls to USF. Game 1 is in the books. South Florida will play Temple tomorrow afternoon to open the Quarterfinal round.

All the people discarding Gelawn Guyn are foolish. That's all I will say.

    Bracketology

I'd be ecstatic if they landed in Kansas City. I could go see them as they'd be right down the road. Just two+ hours from Omaha!

    Seton Hall

We really need Cash to get as healthy as possible and get back to where he was at in the DePaul game. When he's playing like that it takes the heat off of SK and he doesn't have to force things. With the two of them playing well that will be enough of a scoring threat to allow them to beat...

    Seton Hall

Btw the lack of offensive production is not exclusive to Cincinnati. Scoring is down across the country as far as I can tell... Louisville has 3 points right now six minutes into their game against Marquette. Scoring will come and go with the shooting. Defense and rebounding always travels.

    Seton Hall

They are consistent defensively and on the boards... that's a winning formula any month of the year if you ask me... this team has four losses on the year with their "blow out" loss being by 6 to Notre Dame. SIX. Yes, the 'Cats aren't a top offensive team. But they are ELITE defensively and on...

He's kind of good at basketball. I guess we should give him a scholarship... :D

    Mick's RECRUITING

Since Mick can't do it because he needs to keep peace and be loving to all, I'll do it for him... SUCK IT TO ALL THE HATERS THAT ARE SOMEHOW STILL OUT THERE!!! Try and tell me we aren't big time right now. Just f'ing try!

My point exactly. Which is why it's an even larger risk for SK to take.

He's still not ready... but neither was Lance and he is doing fine now. However Lance has more physical, NBA level ability than SK, imo... it's a risk but in the end he has to do what he feels is best for himself and his family.

    JUCO All-American to UC

The staff got two more commitments today with Tyler Cogswell TE/QB from Fort Lauderdale, FL and Howard Wilder, JUCO CB from Woodland Hills, CA. Both had some pretty big offers. Arkansas was going after Cogswell and Wilder was a USF commit before he flipped for UC. I know we like to say we are...

    Louisville

To weigh in on the big man debate... I think it's clear that while our lack of an efficient offensive presence inside has hurt at times, as far as the overall system goes (and Mick's ability to get the most out of his teams, imo) their limitations aren't as glaring as they may be on other teams...

    Sums the season up

As many have noted, it's going to come down to match ups in March. If the 'Cats are healthy and have momentum there is no reason they can't reach the Second weekend again, and potentially further.

If he does make the decision at the start of Feb you have to believe that UC not only has a chance, but could potentially be the favorite. Lets all just hope this thing doesn't drag on and it really is nearing the end.

    New Rankings

The real movement for the 'Cats will occur over the next two weeks. Their second tough stretch of games coming up starting with a tricky one against Marshall this coming weekend. Plenty of opportunities to move as high up as they want if they keep winning. If they find a way to get into...

    Nippert Renovation

If it comes down to a head to head of which project is accomplished first, it will be football, make no mistake about that. The revenue that can be produced immediately and over time by a renovated Nippert with luxury suites and as a consequence entry into the ACC (or some other conference) can...

    Tommy Tuberville to UC?

High risk, high reward strategy. People have been asking for a 'vision' from President Ono and AD Babcock over the past couple weeks... well, it's beginning to unfold. If you want different results, go with a different approach. That's what Whit has done here and he has been incredibly...

Mick has already accomplished that! Beat a very athletic, formidable FSU team last year.

I maintain... if those three things I listed occur: 1) Stay healthy 2) Productive big's rotation and 3) Decent matchups in March this team has every reason to BELIEVE it can do what no team has done since '92. And it should be pointed out the '92 team had the luxury of #3 also. I'm not saying...
