    AAC Conference Tournament

So it's all conjecture. Too bad the whole thing is canceled because it would have been nice to see 1.) if we got a bid and 2.) if we made it past the first round.

    AAC Conference Tournament

Sorry, I couldn't find any reference to that scenario in the AAC Policy. But I'll bet there will be some amendments added for the future. How does the AAC have a policy for something they could never have dreamed up - even in their worst nightmare?

    AAC Conference Tournament

Since when does the AAC conference winner get an AQ?

    Regular season Report card

Since when did the AAC winner receive a bid? I thought only the winner of the AAC tournament got an auto bid.

Congratulations, Trevon. Nobody could be more deserving!

Problem is we don't draw as many charges as Jarron commits. Sometimes you just have to stand your ground knowing you're going to get splattered all over the floor (especially our smaller guards). They have a tendency to clear out of the paint to preclude getting posterized. It's like going to...

    2020 Bracketology

The way the country is in a coronavirus panic there may be an AAC tournament with no fans allowed in the arena. That would be an eerie feeling for a team that gets charged up when the fans yell.

    Season awards

Trevon should get a special award for heart and hustle. For a big who plays virtually every minute, nobody in the league is in the shape he's in. Just wish we had the mindset to send three bodies to crash the boards on every shot a la Houston.

I don't care how you get it as long as you play into it. Good play, bad call, late T, but win it! Don't let Bernie Sanders give it to you :p

I want us to be in, too, but the bid should be earned.

Houston: Round 2: The Battle for Everything

The play should have a pass option. Drive to the rim, but don't shoot your foot off trying to get the trophy. Run a trailer behind Jarron. With everyone collapsing to defend the shooter, there are a lot of people with open looks. Vogt for a dunk, KW trailing............Trevon sneaking under for...

Houston: Round 2: The Battle for Everything

Sam can do whatever McNeal does and can play offense. Only thing he lacks is a scholarship (and size). Use him!

    WSU Round 2

It was the left on a hook and hold take down. Also, this isn't the first time I've seen him trying to stretch out the left shoulder. Hope it's not a rotator cuff injury. We need him through the remainder.

    Ecu Round 2

Trevon I have to laugh at the Recap of the game. The author credited Trevon Scott "for the Pirates" with his stats. Now if he would have credited McNeal with some stats for the Pirates, it would have been much more apropos!

    2019-2020 Open Thread

Sorry, but Jarron needs an attitude adjustment. If he doesn't get a call he thinks he should, he whines to the ref instead of getting back on D (or if he gets stripped). He's got to understand that the refs treat him differently than the regular players. He's just got to suck it up and play on...

Houston Game Thread: Our true rival in the league

You hit the nail on the head. The biggest reason we're improving is because the players are learning their roles. I've watched Tre more than a few times, stand wide open at the three point line, start to shoot but then think better and pass. McNeal and Sorolla have no shooting confidence, and...

Well said. I just hope we're not peaking too late. Hate to depend on winning the conference to secure a spot in the dance. However, if we only get an at large bid, we're looking at facing a #1 or #2 seed.

Glad to see Keith drive into the trees and dish to Vogt instead of his usual going to the rim even though he has no way to get there.

If you noticed Tre giving sage advice to Harvey after Zack committed a foul. I'm sure he was telling Zack not to put 2 hands on his man when defending. Harvey has a bad habit of doing that - but he IS learning not to.

Houston Game Thread: Our true rival in the league

All these Monday morning QBacks should go back to the beginning of this thread to see what the definition of fickleness is. A bunch of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hydes. Basically giving up then reveling in victory. What happened to "fight to the finish never give in"? Or don't you know your own fight...
