Or there was nothing to talk about.

Seems like your trying to stir something up that isn’t there.

Reason I posted: woke up, checked my email, and I see a notification from the former Bearcats thread. Decided to chime in.

I don’t care that mick won. Though I do believe he will be successful at UCLA.

I think we can all agree that we are better off without Mick Cronin.

not like the team has been playing its best ball of the season or anything. no reason to talk about that.

And I have been talking about that.

Just spilt my posting between here, BCJ and the AAC Forums. I just posted a breakdown of how good Jarron has been in Conference on BCJ, and yesterday I posted that UC was the Top 3 in almost every category offensive and defensively in conference on the AAC Board.

I mean, I was at the game on Tuesday with my daughter. Im not gonna be posting how great they are in that moment while Im feeding her dipping dots and watching live basketball.

I Can be fan of this team and still love the Mick Cronin years. You're one trying to draw the lines in the sand. I think the last 5 years of the Cronin was fun and I'll defend those players and that era.

I want Mick to kick the pac 12's ass. He's an underdog who is being counted out by most everyone. I always love an underdog story and I hope he kicks ass.

And I also want UC to kick ass. The only difference was I have less evidence to be confident it will happen but It's absolutely growing by the day.

eh. None of them really played

I think one of the issues with Cronin recruiting was not that he couldn't land a 4 star guy if there was a clear opening on the roster...he did. It was that he would not recruit OVER players (very often). He was okay with the back up player with few skills as long as they could provide the rest of what he wanted. That way he could keep the veterans happy and not worried about their job...and then maybe after a few years the young guys could develop.

I think Brannen is going to take the best player available that he can get or that he needs. That may result in a few more transfers over time but also a more skilled bunch of players in the end. Then he can work on developing their defense to his standards over time. He's getting some good D out of his team but the holdovers are a big part of that. We shall see if he can field a solid defense with a preference of skill over athleticism.

I would like to see a top 50 D and a top 25 offense

Brendell has said that players transferred because they didn't want to put the effort in at practice that Brannen's system required. I'm assuming Brooks was one player he meant, and Laquill may have been another.

FOH. I didn't say that about any of the guys that left...

Alright I believe you. (It was Leonard Stokes that said it...I always get you two confused)

Will you call Leonard Stokes a liar?

This is a god awful take no matter who said it.

Brooks let before real practices even started. Same for Fredericks. Logan had a personal issue.

This is not the reason why they left. So I’ll call stokes a liar considering they barely get practice time in that part of the offseason.

April 14th John Brannen becomes head coach
May 7th Nysier Brooks announces transfer

Real practice...okay. Semantics. Nysier had a look at what Brannen was like in a practice setting.

No crap I didn’t mention hardnett. He pushed out for Harvey.

Brooks did not leave for that reason. He really wanted savino.

I also love how people think mick Cronin didn’t work his players hard in practice.

There was a rumor brooks was transferring the day brannen was hired. Literally that night his guardian was saying he was leaving. Maybe the paperwork didn’t go through until the 7th but he was gone the second mick left,

yeah that twitter rant will go down as one of the special ones.

He was at Brannen's house April 25th. Think what you like though

Yep, and what I said is true. Don’t have to think anything. I read the night of the hire, he was gone, from his guardian. I would say that’s a good source. But think what you like.

The UConn game is one of the biggest games of the year. I said weeks ago it would be hard but if we win, we come home for Memphis, @ecu, home for UCF. If we win Sunday I think we could realistically be looking at 19-7 in a couple weeks and comfortably in the field. Probably an 8-9 seed at that point.

There's definitely an argument to be made that they should, especially given that Jarron was injured. The difference is, as long as we only drop one more we should be in the tournament regardless. UCLA needs to lose at most one game and hope the committee focuses on their last 14ish games.
Sorry, but Jarron needs an attitude adjustment. If he doesn't get a call he thinks he should, he whines to the ref instead of getting back on D (or if he gets stripped). He's got to understand that the refs treat him differently than the regular players. He's just got to suck it up and play on. He's got great floor vision, and he's playing PG really well. Nobody has a better leading skip pass than he does. Unfortunately he's not an elite ball handler - but he still is pretty good. Gotta keep that defender side shoulder parallel to his other shoulder.
