I've been thinking about this all morning and the Scottie Reynolds matchup scares the Sh$t out of me. I have no idea who we have guard him. DV and Cash are out.....he would drop 35 on each of them. I'm thinking this would be a good game for our athletic guards (Davis/Dixon) to go into lock down mode on the perimeter.

I wouldn't mind if either of them played big min and didn't score much, we just need to limit Reynolds damage. Anybody else have thoughts to matchups tonight?

I agree that this would be a good game for Davis/Dixon to see extended minutes. However, Nova will pressure us all over the court and neither can handle pressure.

I'd role with 1 big (Thomas or Gates), 1 SF (Lance w/Bishop as a sub) and 3 guards.

Bishop and Davis can platoon against Reynolds. You can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him.

Bishop is shutdown monster, but I don't like that matchup.

I agree with 3 guard sets just think DV or Cash might be huge liabilities. Not sure I'm liking these matchups. We will need to dominate the boards tonight in order to win. Offensive and defensive....

I'm more concerned with Fischer. He ismuch more explosive than Reynolds.

Come to think of it, Nova has some of the best guards in the country. $hit, they have McDonald AAs comming off the bench.

Yep, these small guards scare me. Not sure we have answers for them.

Not a bad idea. However, they might shoot us to death (Stokes, Reynods, Fischer).

In reality, I think it would be best to constantly change defenses and hope the changes rattle them.

Our man to man must be in your face and Thomas should be in the game to contest shots in the paint.

I think UC will play with high energy tonite. As far as DV and Toyloy, they shouldn't leave anything on the court. Go out big, and give the fans a show. Win or lose, just play like there is no tomorrow, because there ain't.

Bout what I expected.

Spurts of good play, mixed in with me shaking my head at our offense.
Not a fun game to watch, frankly.

Larry Davis was 0-5 behond the arc. I'd have to go back and watch but it appeared that all 5 were wide open. He HAS to hit at least one! If he can't hit wide open 3's, what does he bring to this team?
