From an article in Triumph about he and his brother..(obviously somewhat dated-2008)
Fifteen-year-old Tanner McEvoy is a busy guy. He plays
football and basketball for Bergen Catholic High School.
He also goes to Elite Athletic Performance Institute (EAPI)
regularly to keep in shape. Two years ago, he went to Kinetic
Physical Therapy after he broke his leg. Now, step-down training
at EAPI is adding muscle and weight to his 6’4” frame.
Tanner follows in the footsteps of his big brother, Colin,
who graduated from Pascack Valley High School, “First Team”
All-League, All-County, All-North New Jersey and All-State,
as a football player. Colin plays football now for Rutgers State
University. He was the only walk-on player who saw time on the
fi eld as a college freshman.
Colin’s accomplishments are remarkable given that he was
out of play for two months during his junior year at high school
from a head injury. Kinetic got Colin back in the game. In the
summer before college, EAPI helped him add 15 pounds of
muscle.
Colin is not Tanner’s only role model. “My whole family is
athletic,” the high school freshman explains. “I’m the youngest
and it was natural for me to also play sports. I’ve played football
since I was in kindergarten.”
Tanner’s advice to other would-be athletes: “Start early, get
a good foundation, and explore all the ways you can train and
keep fi t,” he recommends.
