Be interesting to see if Grace gets offered by OSU, as one of their other targets at LB (Jamel Turner)may be in trouble.

OSU signee Turner leaves Fork Union
The twisted tale of OSU recruit Jamel Turner has taken yet another turn.

The defensive end from Youngstown, who left Ursuline High School last spring and enrolled in Fork Union Military Academy this year, is no longer a cadet there, a FUMA spokesman confirmed today. The spokesman could not comment on the reason.

So far, attempts to reach Turner have been unsuccessful. An OSU official, though, has confirmed that as of now, his status as a member of the class of 2010 is unchanged.

Without knowing what Turner plans to do, it stands to reason that his scholarship would remain valid, provided he graduates from high school somewhere. He could return to Youngstown, finish up and report to OSU this summer.

It's certainly not a good sign for a player who had disciplinary problems at Ursuline, was kicked off the basketball team, then declared academically ineligible.

When we caught up with him shortly before signing day, for this story, it certainly sounded as if he had turned things around at Fork Union.

The more time goes on the less I think we have any shot at landing Grace. I hope Coombs can pull it off, but I'm unfortunately not very optimistic at this point.

I don't see how he comes to UC (as OSU and ND are close to home) unless playing time is something high on the list.

Supposedly going to the ND spring game with the whole family. Could end up being an ND commit at that time.

Bucknut fans are starting to turn on him. Funny how a recruit is really good until such time as he spurns the school you root for. Don't see him going to OSU...or at least, THEY don't see him going to OSU. Look for BJ to give him one last big push in the next week or two, or he's a goner.

If he doesn't commit to ND at their spring game (which I thought wouldn't happen until later in the season or after), UC would still have a chance to make some inroads on Grace. He would be a huge get for BJ.

a commitment would not surprise me RT @ MikeDyer Colerain junior LB Jarrett Grace to attend Notre Dame's spring game on Saturday
