Point guard
Jacksonville, Florida Arlington Country Day
AAU: Heart and Hustle
Ht:6'1"
Wt: 175 lbs
Class: 2012 (High School)

A smart pass first guard who is coming into his own as a scorer as well. He has very good ball skills and is a great passer. Teammate of Carlos Morris.

Like Morris, he just decommitted from South Carolina.

Dont see the bearcats REALLY going after him with so much depth already at the PG position need to focus on bigs.

Probably correct, but I still think Cronin has that Satterfield/Logan mentality where he'd like 2 ballhandling combo guards who were PG's in high school.

I think that they will seek a point guard (maybe not this one?) because I believe Davis will be playing shooting guard if they can't find a big wing guard. Just my opinion. Either way they will sign one in '13.

Despite reports to the contrary, he has not committed to Povidence. He is exploring his options since Council decided to stay in school.

We don't have too much depth at PG. Cashmere is going to be a senior and G'Lawn is the only other PG on the roster. We should lock one up.

cronin calls davis more of a true point guard than guyn. that would make 3 point guards.

Interesting. He does seem a lot more like a 2G but that's probably just how he was used this year. Based on what we saw this year, I'd be nervous to have JD3 play PG...seemed a little trigger happy.

yeah i think it was just a product of 1) cronin being more comfortable with dixon's experience as backup pg and 2) guyn being a better defender and allowing him to play more as a reserve. i agree though, when jd3 was in, he was usually playing with either wright or dixon and was off the ball.
