Future247 defensive end Tom Strobel confirmed with 247Sports that he recently added his third scholarship offer, this one coming from Pittsburgh.
Cincinnati and Purdue had previously offered the Mentor (Ohio) High standout.
The 6-foot-6, 245-pound Strobel had a chance to visit Pittsburgh on Oct. 31, a day after he was at Penn State for the Nittany Lions victory over Michigan.
“I loved the staff,” Strobel said. “I was very comfortable with them and they treated me like I was one of their own.”
Stobel is looking to return to Pittsburgh in the near future. Earlier this fall, Strobel took in Ohio State’s home win over Miami and Cincinnati’s loss to Oklahoma.

Ohio is always a place college coaches go for talent. The 2012 class is no different. Here is a look at a group of 22 that we have identified as deserving three-star status.
Tom Strobel | DE | Mentor
In a year of great ends, Strobel is a little different from the rest. He's 6'6 and has long arms. He will likely end up as a strongside guy or possibly an interior guy in certain situations, but he's a good athlete with offers from Purdue, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh already.
