Troy retweeted mick the other night. I think Caupain is going to blow up this summer. Think he's more of a combo but so is Cash.
 
Got on Caupain early. He was at either the Marquette or Louisville game, can't remember which. Just checked his twitter again and he has a picture up of he and Shaka Smart. Boo.

I am pretty sure it was the Marquette game, he is from Virginia right? I guess that is why he probably likes VCU at this point. I think he is going to blow up this summer and get some more high major interest.

Sounds eerily similar to what I heard about Chris Lofton. I always remember Huggs passing on him because he felt that Chris was too slow.
 
Who knows for sure I guess, but everything I knew said UC backed off. UC was in the drivers seat for a while.

re: Caupin, I agree and that was my point, I don't see him affecting the PG recruiting for 2013. They are still going to want a big time PG in that class.

That's always a concern too. Whoever they eventually sign whether a Bobo Drummond in 2012 or a 2013 guy, I want a pure point.

I've heard there is a back and forth and that the recruiting has been a bit wishy washy.

UC backed off Samuel last July. If he was no longer interested, he wouldn't still be mentioning UC when asked about the schools recruiting him. His total lack of a jump shot was the deal breaker...

That is the wishy washy part. He stopped mentioning them and started back up.

There hasn't been any relevant interest from the UC side since the July evaluation period. Savino did check out his AAU team last weekend, but was looking at Jermaine Lawrence. As I said, Samuel can't shoot. That's a deal breaker...

I don't know why that's a deal breaker. Nobody on the current UC team can shoot either. :D ;) :p
