Top Performance of the Day:

Josh Hart (Team Takeover 2013) – Hart’s physicality and aggression from the wing fuel everything that Takeover wants to do. His constant motor and “whatever it takes to win” attitude are a perfect fit for the hardnosed program. Offensively Hart puts pressure on the opposition with straight line drives at the rim. He finishes with both hands and welcomes contact once in the paint. On the defensive side of the ball he often takes the challenge of the other team’s top scorer and has the ability to be a shut down type guy. Hart also rebounds extremely well for his position often starting the break after a defensive board.

Josh Hart (Team Takeover 2013) – Hart has seen a terrific AAU season cause his recruitment to explode. After finishing off a championship win he caught up with NBE and listed schools like Villanova, NC State, Kansas State, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Connecticut, Miami, Penn State, Indiana, Memphis, and Temple. Of that bunch Hart mentioned relationships with the coaching staffs at Villanova and Cincinnati as two that stood out from the group. They still have plenty of company in his recruitment as Hart mentioned wanting to visit Villanova, Rutgers, UConn, Indiana, Memphis, and Temple at some point in August. He has already been on campus at NC State.

'13 SF Josh Hart wants to visit Cincinnati, Connecticut & Villanova in August. Hopes to make a decision before November 15.

Hart is versatile and can play either wing position. With guys like Demetrious Henry, Fallou Ndoye,Tyler Roberson, Josh Hart, Chris Perry, Junior Etou, Davon Reed and others on the radar, along with the two commits, I feel really good about 2013.

2013 Sidwell Friends (DC) wing Josh Hart is down to Rutgers, Arizona, Memphis, Penn State, Miami, Cincinnati & Villanova.

Hey, I may be wrong on this but with the verbals from the guards earlier, it seemed like landing another would be a long shot. Who knows. We'll see what happens. You never know in recruiting.

Hart is more of a wing then a guard, he is 6 foot 5. Maybe you should at least have some knowledge of a recruit before just writing him off...

Yup, ok. Whatever man. So he can play the 2 or the 3. Jordan was 6'6" and considered a GUARD. The point still stands. We had two verbal commitments on the perimeter already. So yeah, makes perfect sense.

So when's the last time you saw him play? Yeah, I thought so.

Bearcats really need someone who can fill up the stat sheet. As Jeff has pointed out a few times our biggest flaw the last couple of years has been our inability to consistently put the ball in the basket. You cant have scoring droughts if you want to beat teams like OSU in the tournament. A scoring wing to compliment good 1-2 guards can make all the world of difference. I think we will see how much with Shaq this year. Jeremy Lamb is another good example. Would love the cats to lock him and Chris Perry up. For some reason I just dont think that would be it for the cats. I know that would fill the scholarship allotment but I think they still will be in hot pursuit of guys like Jermaine Lawrence and Joel Embid. They will get creative if they have too for those type of players.

Bearcats absolutely need a sharpshooter to be a complete team. Elite teams have a guy that will kill you if he is left open. SK has developed into a pretty reliable shooter but I still see him as more of a scorer than shooter. Hart and Dion Wiley in the '14 class would fit this nicely.

Josh Hart, a 6'5, 2013 out of Sidwell Friends (D.C.) has Memphis, Rutgers and Villanova on him the hardest, he informed me. @TeamNike_Hart

“With Cincinnati, I really like the coaching staff. I feel like it’s a good situation with their style of play and it’s a great school. If I go there, my freshman year, there will be six guards for one or two positions so there’s a question mark for that.

Yep I don't see this one happening.

Wow. Sure looks like I was on target with my comment about him earlier.

Kids want to play. That is something that doesn't change in recruiting the best players.
