Deng Deng, a 6-8 guard/forward from Lee College, planned on heading to LSU after his freshman year of JC basketball to play for the Tigers for three years, but decided to stay and play his second year of JC during the upcoming 2013-14 season.Deng opened his recruitment back up and is becoming one of the most sought after JC prospects.

He helped lead Lee to an NJCAA D1 National Tournament appearance last season and averaged 10ppg and and 7.5rpg. Deng proved that he was one of the best JUCO players in the 2014 class last weekend at the All-American JUCO Showcase Elite 80 West in Las Vegas. He is extremely long and athletic and is able to finish above the rim through contact. Deng rebounds the ball very well on both ends and uses his length to get in passing lanes on the defensive end. He is continuing to improve his jumper and handle on the perimeter. His recruitment is continuing to pick up steam. He currently holds offers from: Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Washington State, Nebraska and Utah. He is receiving interest from Seton Hall, Miami (FL), Texas A &M and Alabama. Look for him to pick up more offers as the season approaches.

Deng Deng, a 6-8 guard/forward at Lee College, is one of the more versatile JUCO players in the country, and plenty of schools would like his services for the next two years. He is long and very active on both ends of the court. Deng has an excellent motor and uses his length to get his hands in passing lanes. On the offensive end he excels in transition and is able to use his length and athleticism to score the ball around the rim. He also has the ability to step away from the basket and attack off the dribble as well. Deng averaged 10 points and 8 rebounds last season at Lee and helped lead them to an NJCAA D1 National Tournament appearance. Deng committed to LSU last season, but eventually opened his recruitment back up.

Deng won’t sign until the spring and is still wide open with his recruitment, but here are the schools who are actively recruiting him now (in no order): Baylor, Arizona St., Gonzaga, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Auburn, South Florida, Cincinnati and the University of Houston.
