I didn't make the circuit or see him, but heard he did not score the ball consistently over the summer. Perhaps Chad would be kind enough to share some of his thoughts on why he dropped.

Now you are getting off topic and stereotyping me off of my grammar. Grow up,stick to the topic at hand and stop trolling. I cant stand you GRAMMAR POLICE. Its very lame. Back to Justin Jenifer

Good find. Small point guard who is quick, can shoot, with good vision? Reminds me of Downey coming out of high school.

Side note: He turned 19 last month? That means he is 1 month younger than sophomore Caupain. That is pretty crazy.

Is he as quick as Downey? Seems like he'd be scoring more on the HS level if he was. Either way, I think he'll be good over his career here. If nothing else, just bc he works so damn hard. Sounds like a really good kid the more we hear about him.

As for the side note...wow that makes you realize how good Caupain is.

From what I've read, I think he's more like Caupain than Downey. Jenifer doesn't blow you away with quickness; he more out-smarts you. His court vision is phenomenal and he doesn't miss an open guy. I can't picture him ever being a huge scorer, but he will definitely be the next game manager waiting under Caupain's wing.

Chad said on csnbbs that Jenifer is a great passer, has great vision and a great head on his shoulders but at times can be a turnover machine.

Downey also nearly averaged 40ppg and was lightening fast. Downey was just a beast in high school which is why he was ranked that high. If Downey had been about 6'1, he would have a top 10 prospect. So, yes size does play a part in the rankings.

Many of us on this site are comparing Jenifer to Downey including myself. Looking forward to see what he becomes as a Bearcat. I think he will blow us away and just become Justin. GO BEARCATS!!!!

He is not Downey and he will be a solid pass first point guard just needs some coaching on decision making.
