As of right now I see this being the starting 5. If he wanted to start he would have to beat out an underclassman for the job. Still sellable for Mick to pitch him I think. If he wants 30+ minutes a game then go to St. John's. If you want to be on a Final 4 caliber team for his 2 years here come play team ball and put the team first.
Caupain
Cumberland or KJ
Evans
Clark
Washington
Can he shoot?
Trust me when I say if Ahmed comes here he will start and play 25 minutes a game and Evans will also be starting.....
So you are going to start 2 small forwards and leave Senior Kevin Johnson on the bench and top 60 recruit Cumberland third on the depth chart at SG?
With Caupain, Jenifer, KJ, and Cumberland available at the 1 and 2 next year, and Shaq leaving, I'm sure Evans will stay at the 3.
Chad has said numerous times evans will play some 2 next year....
I guess I don't see why that'd be necessary.
Because next year evans will be top 3 player on team and Ahmed is just as good. The starting five I wrote is top 10 in the country next year.
Some of you seem to think whoever starts plays like 90% of the game and backups play 10%. I don't care who starts. The good players will shine early, and earn their minutes. Mick has never let someone with a lot of potential just ride the pine all season. Everyone will play, and often. Just like this season.
Your best players start and your starters play 25 to 30 minutes a game bench players play 10 to 15 minutes a game
That's not the only way to do things you know.
I know but that's what mick does
Minutes per game leaders last year:
31.3
28.7
27.8
24.1
22.5
21.8
20.9
I'd say that's pretty even distribution. I bet you can't even guess who the starters were (without looking it up). This isn't like baseball where if you're a starting second baseman, you're going to play all 9 innings.
