I am not surprised that a top 20 recruit did not want to back up Gary Clark in the AAC.

I don't care what this kid was ranked by rivals or whatever... Gary Clark is the most fundamentally sound freshman PF that Cronin has ever landed.

As long as we keep landing kids like Clark, I will be happy.

Idk man. He's 2 years behind Clark. And we weren't just not in the final running...not even top 15...no way I'm putting a positive spin on missing that bad on an in state kid.

Very disappointing for him not to even consider UC in the end. In state kid that came on a visit. Have to be in on kids like this. Conference and new facilities would go a long way in recruiting and getting to that next level. Good luck to Omari, seems like a nice young man.

Tough to compete for good recruits in this shit conference.

UConn and Memphis still get top 25 players. Conference doesn't help, but it's not the reason they aren't getting these players.

A top 25 kid usually isn't worried about who is in front of him. That's an easy sell for a coach if he is good enough. You think the top kids that commit to UK, Duke, OSU, etc don't have good players in front of them?

Similar to above, it's not the conference or the facilities that keeps UC from getting them. Granted it doesn't help. If UC could gain national relevance again by making consistent runs in the top 10 or deep tournament runs, their recruiting would pick up. Also the slow grind it out style hurts recruiting.

Kind of a chicken or the egg type thing LongHaul, how do you make those deep runs if you can't get the players to come to make those first? Tough situation all around.

I agree with you. Gary Clark will be an absolute stud.
