Some of the issues surrounding our recruiting probably have a lot to do with recruits not knowing what will happen with Evans. A JUCO with only two years of eligibility may not want to sit behind a guy and burn a year.
I'm sorry but a player like Nysier Brooks can run and do all of that, but he can't put the ball in the hoop from inside 6 feet to save his life....these are FACTS; if anyone can show me otherwise i'd love to see it

What 2 year JUCO are we even looking at?
We should and need to be recruiting high 3's and definitely a few top 100's every other year at the minimum...anything less is putting us in the Marshalls, or OU's of the world

You are turning a player leaving early for the NBA into a disadvantage when recruiting 2 year JUCO players. That doesn't make sense. I'm sorry, but c'mon man.
I agree with this. I guess my issue is if you can't sale conference what can you sell. In my mind it's playing time. Yes there is minutes but really good ready for prime time guys want a clear path to the floor. Many don't want to wait. You absolutely right we do well with our current plan but it just seems so darn tough. The NCAA is about creating a even playing field for its members. BS!!!We lose Clark and Washington. At most, Evans is here 1 more year. Broome will be a SR and Cumberland will be upperclassman. Those are our top 5 scorers. Coach has shown he'd like to go 10 deep if possible. We get 3-4 year guys in this program. I think we have PT available.
Jake the reality is we are at a disadvantage. It's not A-Z it is conference affiliation. We do well but in the end we need out of this conference. Especially considering our long term viability. I just hate others beat us to the punch to get out of this garbage pile we ended up in. I guess for me it's just so hard to be positive when I see what the networks,sports apparel companies and handlers have done to college athletics. We try and compete doing things the right way and it pisses me off that doing things right puts us at a disadvantage.

Regardless I'm going to let next year take care of itself for awhile and focus on this year. Have a very nice season going on and I am going to enjoy it. I'll deal with next year when this year is in the books.
