Surprised to see Lewis was a McDonalds All-American, I knew he played for Oak Hills and was a top 50ish recruit. He just never got the minutes he needed I guess. I would definitely be open to him transferring here.

Sounds like Davidson and some of those area schools are going for Lewis. He might want to go to a smaller school to get more minutes and a bigger role.

He was a highlight reel with his passing and ball-handling. I just can't see him here because he's a defensive liability.

At some point we are going to have to give up a little defense for offense. Look at Wisconsin, Kaminsky was a liability on the defensive end but he single handedly won that game.

Yeah it is pretty unlikely anyways. However I am willing for Mick to take a risk on a defense liability transfer, especially with a year off. It is much easier to teach defensive positioning than offensive intuition

Good find on that article. Man that was a 17 pt scorer last year as a sophomore kid is a stud, I remember him Scoring 28 in that Kansas upset. Between him and torian I'd be happy either way, if Harris could play right away. This long run from uk may mean the Harrison twins may go pro, although they aren't ready IMO, could mean torian going there, but I thought he was leaning towards the bearcats. Either way were in good positions to land an impact player

Unfortunately that was just one guys guess of who could be in the running, without any actual knowledge of the situation.

I know - that was my whole point.

You are right. That article provides no insight on where he may land. Any of us could have looked at schools close to Indianapolis and come up with possible destinations. What's funny is that there is another article on that site that says that losing Harris is not a big loss for WVU. Apparently losing a 17 ppg sophomore on a team that hasn't made the NCAA tourney the past 2 years is a cause for optimism. Surprising that more coaches don't ask players of this caliber to transfer, as the article seems to infer that he was asked to leave. As the article states, fear not Mountaineer fans, Hugs knows what he is doing. Just priceless.

I would imagine the staff will do their homework on this one. When a 17 ppg scorer at a potential position of need announces a transfer, I'm sure it doesn't go unnoticed.

It seems like all the redshirt speculation made it's way to Quadri Moore's page. I thought I'd bring it back here.

I agree with NTS that Mick isn't going to go into the season with only 2 centers. I heard a brief part of Tom Izzo's interview on Mike & Mike this morning and he said part of the reason Mich St. settled for so many 3's & jumpers was that UConn's bigs were keeping them out the paint. He accused UConn of fouling a lot on the interior as well. I would think that would resonate with Mick (not the fouling part). If you have the luxury of multiple low post players you have to use that to your advantage.

As far as others redshirting, it's impossible to know until the recruiting / transfer window is closed. All indications are that the roster isn't set. Plus, a current player might elect to leave as well.
