Not the point. The point was, you basically just made up on your own that he was still growing. There's no sign or proof of that anywhere. This is why we need you to source things.

Bearcatboy making things up? Nah, that never happens...

I could be completely off-base, but I think Cobb's role will most likely just be a great shooter off the bench. He'll probably very briefly run the point every so often, but that will mostly be Caupain/Guyn. As we've stated before, judging by Cobb's offers from other schools, we can't expect this guy to come in here and just light it up. I certainly haven't seen him play, and every man has to earn their spot; I'm just not expecting him to be a huge game-changer. I'd be shocked if he started at all this year.
what was kj biggest offer?

If Cobb starts over KJ he will have to show not only that can play offense, but that he can play great defense. KJ has a year under his belt in Mick's system and has already been lauded by the coaching staff for his defense. We all know Mick will start defense over offense. Many on here thought Davis was our best offensive weapon and he couldn't get off the bench because of his defense. With all this said, I don't know if Cobb can play defense or not but my gut feeling is the 2 spot is KJ's as of right now. And honestly I wouldn't be completely surprised if Guyn starts at the 2 and Caupain at the 1. For that to happen I would think Cobb would need to be able to play back-up pg.

can't keep being content with scoring 60 a game. I think Mick REALLY tries to play 40min of hell ALL SEASON. We don't have not 1 go to player as of now, were going to need all depth we have.

Enquirer has an article up officially saying UC is pursuing Mason. Still would be a nice pick up but a lot of schools are after him.

I don't necessarily disagree but until Mick shows us something different in divvying out his minutes I'll assume what we've seen his entire career is what we'll continue to see. If Cobb can't play D he will not start, plain and simple. If he has trouble adjusting to our style of play and can't pick up on switches, etc. on defense he will not start. KJ has shown the ability to do both of these things which Mick historically rewards with playing time. With that said I don't want to make it sound as if KJ is all-world at defense. He showed great on-the-ball pressure and quick hands but he also fouled alot. My point being he has room to improve but Davis last year raved about him and Mormon in their ability to play the press. One thing I can just about guarantee is this will not be the year Mick forgets about defense.

I don't really know much about this kid's personality but I don't like the feeling I get when I hear about "what he wants"...nor the way his dad is operating. I don't think we have much of a chance anyway because Cronin will not promise this kid "what he wants" to hear or do. There will be schools that will "promise" him certain things and we will lose out. I don't think that is a bad thing because I just have a gut feeling the kid is all about "me" and not about the team. That's not what you want in the locker room and it can also disrupt the chemistry on the court. He might be able to score a lot but if team chemistry suffers it's not worth it. We had chemistry issues when Lance came in.

I say stay away if he thinks he can call the shots.

Pretty sure Lawrence had many of those, until he narrowed it down. Gary Clark had a lot of great offers too.

I was looking at Gary's offers on yahoo and noticed he moved up to 87th in the top100. Maybe that has been mentioned but that's the first I've seen, pretty good jump, to me he's clearly a top 100 and still a bit underrated at 87
