Would be massive

Getting Rap was a solid double

Getting Dejulius (fingers crossed) and Rap together is a home run

If Dejulius can play this year...it's a grand slam

Were there better players on the market? Sure. Can we expect to compete with blue bloods and power conferences (with holes in roster) for the cream of the crop? Probably not. To land not only 1 but 2 of the better transfers available is nothing short of a fantastic job. Filling 4 problem areas with 2 players is a major bonus. Back up 5, stretch 4, 2 perimeter shooters, and a PG all with experience.

I see you working John Brannen...

If prince can play and Keith comes back than zero, we will be at 13... if prince can’t play and Keith goes to the nba then we will have 2 more.

Hard to imagine them clearing Prince to play...that's a big liability unless there are very little to no risks. As far as Keith...he would have gained some momentum if he were able to do the workouts with his athleticism. But outside of that there won't be enough for the NBA to go on taking a chance on him.

I am guessing we might have one more spot to fill. It could come down to another Harvey type of situation. If we find a guy we can't say no to we could make some room. I am sure UC can accommodate Prince and somehow keep him on scholly at UC...just not BB scholly.

So if Dejulius picks UC, how many scholarships would then be available?

No If. Dejulius paperwork is in Cincinnati now. He has picked UC and will announce tomorrow. As far as spots, we technically have none, but I think id make a friendly wager that prince will never play here. So we will have 1, which we will use on a big. probably a freshmen big that can redshirt. There is a name out there, but hard to get more information with no visits allowed on campus and travel bans right now

thing that scares me about keith, is there will be no feedback from NBA teams as there wont be a "combine" or whatever the NBA calls it. So he wont be getting the opportunity to scrimmage with these guys like JC did last year. Is he confident enough in his game to bet on himself? Thats a tough question that none of us know. But keith is from Brooklyn and he isnt backing down from anyone. So i could see him leave. But again, this is a situation unlike any that have ever happened before. Sports are shut down, he cannot work out anywhere or really play ball anywhere

realistically keith's game isn't close. im pretty sure he's just doing what all Jr's should do. it sucks he won't get that full experience, but he should be back.

He should be back, but you never know what an individual decides they want to pursue in life.

I think most pro sports are going to be limping for a while. College sports too, but at least he could be taking classes to learn something and having room and board taken care of, while hopefully training.

If he jumps ship it will be really interesting to see how the other players respond. I can project that some will become that needed alpha scorer, I just don't see any ready for it right now.

On a different note:
Trevon Scott strikes me as a smart kid. I was thinking it might be interesting if he were to become a grad assistant. I could see him going into coaching and we'd have a recent player to help during practices. No clue what his plans are, but that seems like it could be a fit.

I would guess Trevon would want to make money playing somewhere before he gets into coaching. Could make a lot over seas.

Sounds like he’s following uc players on insta...

This would be a cruel joke to go the wrong way

Today is the day boys, we will all be extremely hyped or extremely disappointed at noon today..... Come on home David DeJulius

There are two bits of information I would be hyped about. 1st...that we land him. 2nd...that he is eligible without sitting.

I don't think he will be needed quite as much next year as this year. We need the frosh (and even sophs) to have time to grow. It would also allow someone to redshirt if he plays this year.

If he sits a year and then comes in and fills a role that a frosh or soph had filled this year I would worry about losing someone in the portal.

Assuming we land Dejulius and he is available this year (which is not as likely). We could red-shirt Davenport and either Saunders or Mason M.

It's crazy looking at Mich Barttorvik site. They had Simpson and Brooks 6'0" and 6'1" playing over 30 minutes each. Also DeJulius playing over 20 minutes at 6'0".

You don't see that very often

That is what I am hoping too. Also that there is a season to watch this year...LOL!

I would be surprised if there were sports in the fall. I think football and basketball will get pushed back to the start of 2021 or no fans. Too much money for them to lose the whole seasons. Schools will be in trouble if they lose those seasons.

What brannen has done in 1 year is incredible. Hes been able to bring in a lot of talent. Lot to be excited about
