UCLA could just have to get by Abilene Christian to reach the sweet sixteen. Good game there against Texas.

Pac12 is having a good tournament, even getting lucky with a Covid cancellation.

Jesus Big D*ck Mick is making me really miss him.

Y’all should see the glowing reviews the UCLA board has for this guy.

“Gotta see the darkness before you see the light”

And his offense is better than his defense lol. They look pretty damn good. I see them in the sweet 16 for sure

Mick said he felt like the pac-12 was really disrespected this year.

He says that every year, even in the old Big East. This season was really difficult to sort leagues with so few non-conference games though. If there was ever a year for entire league to be mis-seeded, it's this one.

Well he was right this year for sure lol. All double digit wins by the pac-12, only undefeated power 5

ABIL Shooting two. One down less than 2 seconds left. This is madness for sure. Rooting for the udog on this.

Shaka Smart has been terrible in the tournament outside of his one final four run ten years ago.

I’m not even gonna lie, I’m becoming a UCLA fan. UC will always come first but my god that program is exciting. They have under dog mentality even though they are UCLA.

Mick yells and screams and yet this team seemingly loves going to war for him.

I hope UCLA wins the whole damn thing

Yup. Cronin shows how you can be hard on kids on the court, but still have them love you because of the relationship you build off court. Something Brannen desperately needs to learn.

He's also doing it with no seniors and 3 juniors (2 of whom start). Missing his star player (Chris Smith torn ACL) and top backup big man (Jalen Hill).

Jaime Jaquez is a very similar player to JD as an undersized 4 (better ball handler and interior game, worse shooter). Fun to watch.

I'd be more of a fan if their games weren't so late at night. I'm not staying up until midnight to watch a game.

Abilene isn't going to be a cakewalk. They are 80 kenpom and their defensive style is a contrast to Mick's offense. Mick plays the no mistakes, no TO's offense (they had 4 TO's against BYU). Abilene forces 20 TO's per game. If UCLA can avoid TO's they should win handily, if not it will be a close game favoring ACU. Tyger may have to play 40 minutes as I'm not sure they have anyone else who can reliably bring the ball up the court.

He won’t have the same obstacles for success that he encountered at UC. The biggest being the perception of the conference. He will be able to get talent that was simply not attainable in the AAC. Then he will coach them up and see where it goes from there.

I have no hard feelings for Cronin and hope he does well. I don’t follow stories about him except for the occasional posts on this forum.

I’m happy for Mick because he plateaued at UC.

In today’s age you will never reach your full potential in the AAC at UC. He needed to go to UCLA to unleash that next level.

It’s more a realization that UC is not a destination job. Even for a home town guy.

We’re a stepping stone who just happened to have 2 loyal ass coaches. Both went on to better things

Idk if I’d say huggins has done “better things” but I get what you’re saying. I don’t think he ever leaves Cincinnati if he didn’t get pushed out, and we’d probably be in a bigger conference if we never had to rebuild. Probably woulda hit in the ACC with louisville

Loyola Chicago looked like the better team all the way through. Big Ten is clearly very overrated once again.
