and as a UConn fan I know how it feels to be in pain after a tough loss like this (Syracuse 6 OT's). I understand Cincinnati has lost several tough close games this year. In my opinion this loss can be used by Cincinnati as the perfect stepping stone to a great March run. Think UConn getting blown out by Louisville in 2013-14 in the conference tournament before winning the National Championship. Although the game results were polar opposites in the sense we got blown out and you lost a close 4 OT game for the ages....both results equated to an emotional jarring.

I think Cincinnati will be primed and hungry for the first weekend of March Madness. It will be no surprise to see Cincinnati contend hard for an Elite 8 type of run. For those of you in pain I understand.

Good luck in the tournament. You deserve it.

Best Always,

Your UConn Friend

First, congrats on the win.

Secondly, thank you for the words.

It was a great game, wish it would have went our way but it did not.

Good luck going forward. I hope you are right with the ncaa prediction!

It all depends on our matchup and health. Advanced metrics rate Cincinnati as a top 30ish team so it is very likely we will be "underseeded" by up to 10 spots. There is a good chance (as an objective unbiased fan), I would pick Cincinnati as a prime candidate for a first round upset.

If I was an overachieving team in the 6-8 range, I'd be pissed if I had to play UC 1st round...given the other choices.

How's it feel to have ESPN at your beck and call? You shouldn't have deserved to win that game. Also, it's bullshit this dumpy conference in the AAC is also up your butt. The fact you have the tourney back at your home court says a lot. Can't wait til we leave this conference and you're stuck in this.
